Looking at the last 10, we have gained 2 games on everyone but Utah. We have gained 3 or more games on the likes of GSW, Denver, and Portland(and passed them)....
we shouldn't look at the "short-term." i think this team is improving right now with every game, particularly in their attitude of putting max effort from the opening tip. in the long-term, this team should be SCARY. i have zero doubt we'll make the playoffs and even get a good seed. i just want to see how we play after that stretch in march. after that stretch, i should have an indication of how good this team can be. the west just doesn't have that 2-3 dominant teams this yr. this is what you call parity.
This is the ugly side of GSW's game. When they are not hitting the shots, they can look very ordinary. They don't play very good defense. Hope this trend will stay for the duration tonite. And hey, another unexpected surprise ... the Mavs lost to another substandard eastern conference team. The Spurs unfortunately rebounded but ... oh well.

Golden State is a gimmick team. They'll never win anything, and just like Don Nelson they only exist to piss people off. They get off on that, I think. The get down like no other team, but they come back like none other also. A 20-pt deficit is so routine for them, they don't even worry anymore. The threes fall or they don't, at least they get to practice with like 30+ every game.
Washington is choking. Their coach deserves to be fired to take guys like Haywood out in favor of chunkers.
