Novak would be a great fit in Milwaukee. After a few practice sessions, Yi Jianlian's confidence would never be so high.

To reiterate, he still takes up a roster spot if we send him to the D-League.

    FYI.

Uh, he flat-out sucks. He's not proven a single thing nor given anyone a reason why he should see minutes.

Of course, if he FLOURISHES here or anywhere else in the future...always remember finalsbound doubted him and said he sucked. But for now, he looks like he shouldn't be in the NBA. There's about as much of a chance of Novak becoming "our Peja" as there is Mike James declaring that he hates shooting and deciding to become a pass-only guard.

If Novak is cut, the Pacers will be sure to sign him. They'll see a white guy with no other talent than shooting the ball and jump on that opportunity.

I agree. Wasn't this the coach's son who was supposed to have such a high BBall IQ? Give another player a chance. Novak doesn't even look good in summer league play. How's he going to help during the regular season.

I agree. He's a nice guy, but he's a liability defensively and can't create his own shot on offense. I also think you're right on about him getting more slack because he's a WB.

I couldn't believe the article on him the other week, when he acted like he had made the team already. Not the type of attitude I'd be looking for as a coach.

I'm saying he wouldn't have been given the same amount of time to development.

I'm including 2 years of Rocket training camp and he's done nothing? He could have at least attempted to lift weights and get stronger. Can't check 3's too slow, too light in the A to check 4's. WB syndrome in full effect.

I don't think Novak=WB has that much to do with it. I think it's more of a case where when someone watches him shoot in practice they're like "damn, this kid can shoot...we oughtta give him time to develop." They don't wanna throw away such a good shooter. Personally I think he should've been cut before Harris and we should still have Harris.

2 years of training camp equals to 2 years in NBA? Aaron Brooks is a second year veteran then.

WB syndrome? Ask Vspan and Boki.

What is this white and black, WB crap. The dude got drafted and has been in the league one year. I think it's probably because he was first team All-Big East, averaged 17.5 and knocked down 47% of his threes and maybe b/c Tracy Mcgrady called him the "greatest shooter I have ever played with." I don't think it's because he's a WB or BB.

OK, fair point that he hasn't been given better treatment by the team, but I do think at least part of the focus from the media and on the board is because he's a WB.

I'm not saying it's racist. It's just there is more interest, just like there sometimes is more interest for a black tennis player or golfer (although with Tiger Woods it's because he's just awesome) where whites have historically been more successful. Novak's shooting is also exciting which generates interest, but him being a WB is at least part of the reason as well.

Address the issue of him not delivering in the time he has been given. 1st training camp in 06, second training camp in 07. Summer league 07 - couldn't produced against 80% of the players who won't make a team. Mike Harris did more than Novak while playing the 3 and 4 and he's gone

We have other players who can do the things Harris does well better than Harris does. We have nobody (except possibly Battier and Head, who might be equally good three-point shooters, but they don't have the same height) who can do what Novak does best better than he does.
