If Morey is fired, for exercising his right of freedom of speech, I will also fire myself as a Rockets fan. I know for sure that the Rockets organisation is monitoring this forum, so I want to make it clear, that it will be completely unacceptable and crosses my bottomline. The NBA is an american league, played on american soil. Morey is an american citizen. It's not a chinese league. I don't want to be a fan of a doormat team that has an owner that slaves away to communists and let them have the way on team decisions. If you say that I don't matter much and the chinese market is more important, that's fine. But I want to make it clear to whoever may be reading this. Firing Morey is inexcusable, a disgrace and offends me as a person who values human rights and democracy.
Adam Silver gotta step in and make a statement in favor of Morey and condemning China’s actions Where is he at? they can not be allowed to flex all over the league like this
Tilman needs to man up and have Morey's back on this issue. You can't play both sides on something like this.
Wooooooooo buddy...if he caves on this and lets Morey go, he might need to move. Dude will be a pariah in Houston.
Adam Silver was an American lawyer, whose clearly understand and will follow the American law, not the Chinese law.
Adam Silver paints himself as a “progressive commissioner” for a “progressive league”. If he caves to China for money, he’ll look like a fraud.
Poor Yao, caught in the middle of all this crap. He's always been very much a good citizen of China, especially when he was still playing and putting the needs of his country first. But I wonder how much his views have changed after spending so much time in other countries over the last decade.
Idk. But I do know ppl in this country disregarded his protest & blamed him for poor ratings, for simply protesting police brutality. Now protesting is okay?
Because of the Hakeem Clyde era I'll never quit the Rockets. But I am very concerned about this Tilman era. If he reveals himself to be as malignant an owner as Drayton was, or as the McNairs are getting to be now for football, I might have to step back for a while, a long while even, if it becomes painfully clear that Tilman as an owner will always be meddling to the point of preventing us from winning anything. There are red flags all over the place just by listening to his press conferences. As long as Morey is here, however, I feel safe for our prospects, even when the inevitable rebuild comes when Harden gets old.
