Melo and Lebron could team up in NY. If the Knicks found a way to get rid of Stoudemire's contract they would technically be at $45 million at the end of the year. If they could also get someone to take Bargnani's contract they would be at around $33 million going into next year. With that cap space they could sign both players and provide bigger payments in the out years because they don't have many obligations in 2015 and beyond.

I want us to keep this core together especially don't want to lose Parsons. Melo is a disappointment, even in the weak East he can't lead them to a. 500 record. Some players like love and Melo are great stat stuffers but don't make their teams better or they play selfishly and cars only about their stats. Either way pass, no thanks.

I have a better reason, K Love or Durant.

    :)

Yes, yes, I know, I know.

People are saying no but hell yeah we should. Can't be picky when it comes to that third star even Daryl Morey said that. Melo can even play the 4 or just play the 3 n let parsons be the sixth that's if we Dudnt trade parsons. Melo n harden would be like the Lebron James n d wade combo. Except we have a legit big man. I think we would run havoc. Melo would bring that ruggid tough gritty attitude to the team. Melo don't play

He only person I'd take from the Knicks would be attest. We need an enforcer but even at that it has to be at a bargain price.

melo is better than harden so why would knicks give him up AND shumpert while letting us keeping parsons (our best contract per talent) and lin (most marketable player not named harden and howard) for harden? also i fail to see how this team makes us better? harden is more willing to share the ball than melo so dwight will get less touches, the offense still be a ball dominating offense so lin will still be underused, you then have a undersized 4 as well.
also i dont get the love affair with shumpert, he is shooting 34 percent from 3s, his career high in points is 11.1 and thats per 36 min

No thanks. I think Melo is the kind of alpha dog that doesn't fit in well with our current makeup.

Hardes has very good playmaking skills . I think he'll help new york much better than Melo . If I was a knicks fan , I prefer harden to melo . But I'm not sure about vice versa . Melo on Rockets , well it's complicated...

Low key I would do this for more defense on perimeter, stretch 4 gives Howard more room to work. Melo has been rebounding great lately and his D is not as bad as people think. But I would have to have a long talk with melo about setting screens, ick & pop and NO ISO unless we need it.

    bev/Lin
    Lin/garica
    Parsons/shumpert
    melo/jones
    Howard/asik

I don't like Melo as a human being.

But I cannot deny the guy is an awesome basketball player. He's clutch as Hell. He can play inside and out. Our outside in game would actually work with him. He is shooting forty from the three this year. Consistent. Not injury prone. And uh, not many players can drop sixty + in a game...

Everyone said Lebron couldn't win a championship, and his obvious skill and stats didn't matter either. Lebron said he just needed a team around him. And it turns out Lebron was right. Maybe Melo can win that ring too.

Melo, Harden, Dwight... no team in the NBA would want to face that. They would burn so much energy on defense they would be exhausted on offense. Meanwhile, Melo, Harden, and Dwight would use far less energy on offense, so they could have more for defense.

At any rate, however it went, I would love to see it.

    I would do it..

Melo played the 4 with Howard on the U.S. team, and Melo also played alongside Harden on the U.S. Team!! So people who are guessing they can't play together is non-sense, and it's not like they would be on the court together a 100% of the time.. when Melo on the bench, Harden take over and vice versa.. but my main point is, if u have the chance to get a talent like C.A. U take it, u don't let that pass u up.. if it don't work out, he could be used as a nice asset for someone like Durant later on down the line..

    Howard
    Jones
    Melo
    Harden
    Bev

Top 2 team in West if not #1

If there was 2 basketballs played at the same time, I'd do it.

Everyone didn't say Lebron couldn't win a championship. Some people inexplicably thought he should have won one when the best player he ever played with in Cleveland was Mo Williams or Antwan Jamison.

Two ball hogs. Each complains about the other. Losses pile up.
    Predictions:

    Melo turns on the coach
The coaches move Melo to 6th man to appease Harden
    Dwight throws another hissy fit

    Game over

Exactly. Same reason the U.S. never wins any world competitions.

    Yeah it could.
The only difference would be Dwight would never touch the ball as Harden and Melo play the 2-man game, all game. Lol.
