the fact is, he is a talent... the more talent we have the better. thats not to say he'd fit. but you sign him and trade him if he doesn't work. fact is, teams will want to have him for a few more years.

Actually, Paul Pierce & Kevin Garnett have both been on teams that have made it to the conference finals. Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady have been on a 50+ win regular season team even if they haven't made it past the first round. Stephon Marbuy has slipped into the playoffs a few times, but for most of his career he's played on cellar dwellers. He seems the very epitome of the "Who cares if we win? Check out my stat line!" mentality. I don't put him in the class with Garnett, Pierce, Allen, Yao or McGrady. I put him in the class of Shareef Abdur-Rahim. Marbury doesn't know how to do anything but lose.

He is a perennial loser. I don't care if he has talent. The Knicks on a scale of talent are a top 5 team in the league. They can't even make the playoffs in the East. Marbury leaves Nets - Kidd takes over same exact squad and goes to 2 straight Finals Marbury leaves Suns - Nash takes same team and wins 2 MVP's and 2 trips to the West finals And talentwise Marbury is better than both of them.
