Pure PG can suck as much as he can because pure > combo no matter what angle you are looking at it.

pure pg ? pure pg my ass. marbury is a damn all-star. ill take my chances with a player of marburys caliber over rafer ANY TIME. do you really want to go into the playoffs with rafer again ? seriously ? against deron williams, chris paul, tony parker, steve nash, jason terry and devin harris ?

rafer gave us NOTHING last post season and i dont want him as the starting pg. sure we can win alot of games in the regular season, but in the postseason is when the holes in our team will get exposed...

No way, he is a cancer, and his teams have been a failure wherever he was.

Starbury has failed at every team he's been on, every team he's been on has shipped him off because he's basically Starbury. I don't see that changing if he was on this team. Just because he's more talented doesn't mean we'll be more successful.

yea and rafer has been so successful....

the difference between this team and those is marbury was the best player on those teams. if he were to come here he would no longer carry the burden of being the man. you guys are crazy if you would rather have rafer over marbury... just crazy

Marbury was certainly not the best player when he was playing with KG, but Marbury wanted to get away there as well.

Do you not realize the Knicks suck. We already have a PG who could not get playing time on their team, who now cant get playing time on our team. Why would we want another PG who is about to not get any minutes on their team, riding the bench for our team.

I hear Chris Childs is available. Maybe we should just sign him too.

Please tell me when the last time Marbury was an all star. What he is, is the PG on a team in the terrible Eastern Conference that could not sniff the playoffs for the past few years. Actually what he is, is the former starting PG on a team in the terrible Eastern Conference.

    1. He had Garnett in Minny
    2. He actually had Marion AND Amare with the Suns
    3. He would still want to be the man on any team he's on, he's "Starbury"

If you guys think he can change for the better of this team, you obviously are ignoring the past. You can take the w**** off the streets, but she's still a w****.

I admit Rafer sucks most of the time, but getting Starbury is like replacing that Ford Focus that breaks down on you in the most inopportune time with a Ford Mustang GT that will leave you high and dry alot, what's the difference?

I'm sure DD would start a "Would you trade Kobe for T-Mac" thread even if the Rockets were 40-10.

A pure point guard can shoot as well. I guess we know where that puts Rafer.

We would have been far worse with Marbury against the Jazz, than with Rafer. Marbury hasn't defended a single person his entire career. I'm the first to admit that Rafer cost us the playoffs, and that for all intensive purposes I hate him. I surely don't want to go to the playoffs again with him as our only pg option, but we no longer have that problem if you haven't noticed. In fact, we have an inverse issue: overcrowding at the one.

    Marbury gives us absolutely nothing.

I could see Atlanta, Boston, Portland, LA Lakers being interested.

    Say NO to marbury.

He doesn't have the mind to be a good basketball player.

yea like they would be so much better with rafer staring instead...

rafer is just about the worst starting pg in the league, and certainly the worst on a team wanting to call themselves "contenders"

but like i said, its all gravy until the playoffs come around.
