Didn't Marbury say he wanted to go play overseas like in Italy or something to that extent?

i find it funny funny how the same people who are vying for Francis to get playing time are the same people saying no to Marbury, because Marbury is better than Francis any day of the week. Hypocrites anyone? :D

This can not be a good idea. As has been said earlier, the guy is an absolute cancer to any team

I honestly thought you were joking around in the NBA Dish forum. The truth has saddened me a little.

The only people who looked up to Starbury is Jesus Shuttlesworth and Sebastian Telfair.

    Nuff said.

Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett...

    ...Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady

Let's face it, none of these guys have had much success in their career. That doesn't mean they can't.

HARD cuts, active without the ball, creative but accurate passing -- that sound familiar? We heard it all summer, but I was actually talking about Steph. He is a GREAT fit for Adelman's offense, and absolutely better than Rafer and MJ.

A Yao/Starbury give and go would actually make Yao's time in the high post mean something. A Starbury drive and dish to a trailing T-Mac would actually make things easier for Mac, as promised. This is Steph's game.

The guy is already playing what we want to play. I am absolutely for this if it is at all possible.

Marbury doesn't make his teammates better. You evert notice that eveerytime a team traded him away, they instantly became contenders or got better. New Jersey, and Phoenix both became championship contender aright after they Marbury, and Minnesota became perennial playoff attendees when they traded away Marbury.

And also tha most important thing is, MArbury couldn't even get a pass into Curry last two seasons. Curry should get at least 15 touches but doesn't. He can't even get tha ball into Zbo. .And have you seen Marbury in crunchtime. He throws tha ball away more in crunchtime than any other pg i've ever seen. And his defense is attrocius. He gets beat off tha dribble effortlessly and his Pick n roll defense is worst 5 in tha NBA. Rafer is a better defender than Marbury, and i hate Rafer.

I'm not a big fan of this fanatical. move

Low- risk high- reward like Steve was, right?

It's not like we just couldnt cut him if it didnt work out.

Of course, we'd have to cut Steve.

first off thats nonsense because Marbury is one of the better defending PGs in the league. he can effectively guard 2's. secondly we don't need a PG that makes us better. we need a PG that can penetrate, pass, and catch and shoot, and Marbury does all of those things.

You mean like Francis? I'm telling you those two guards can be twins.

no, Francis is just a worse version of Marbury

Marbury can run a pick and roll and catch and shoot, two things Francis still doesnt know how to do.

I already expressed my opinions about Marbury, earlier in the summer. I'll say the same thing I said then.

Marbury is not the best point guard league, but he could definitely push a team over the top. If unselfish and level-headed, he could easily come in a make teams like Mavs, Rockets, Heat, or even Lakers more formidable. I think he could with the Suns and Spurs, but since they already have bonafide PGs, i would think he wouldn't fit in as well.

If you add him to the Rockets, you see a possibly already elite-level or pretty good team that shoots up to possibly the best team in league without question. And for Adelman's System, he wouldn't need alot of assists, but he would have to willingly give up the ball.

The Mavs would have a tough and harden point guard who could carry them when the rest of the team is little bit off, if they had someone like Marbury, I believe they would beat GS without very little effort.

WIth the Lakers, they would have another scoring threat besides Kobe, which may alleviate (or great turmoil) problems. They wouldn't have trouble breaking hunderd.

I would absolutely take a look. It is clear that the team's PG problems are not solved. James' shooting will come around, Rafer's won't. Francis has apparently gone into his AWOL routine, and Brooks is a teenager. Mayberry has a reputation for not being a good team mate, but he is physically talented. He can defend, drive, shoot, and finish. Bonzi has had the same reputation. Francis and Mayberry on the same team again would be crazy and if Mayberry got time and Francis didn't, that would pretty much push Steve over the edge. He may be there already.

Cut Fancy, sign Starbury? Of course I would do that. Worst case scenario is Starbury stinks up the joint, doesn't get any PT and sits on the bench and pouts, meaning it was a totally lateral move. If he just comes over and shoots the same percentages he is shooting now for the Knicks, then the team is improved and we win more games. Low risk, high reward. The downside is you would have to wait longer to trade him than you would to trade Fancy, and there might be a team stupid enough to offer something decent. Probably worth that chance though.

if stephan comes to d rox team, it be the end. He will ball hog the ball, play 1 on 5, jack up 3-pointers just to say he is a better player than yao and tmac.

Let him go and play with kobe. Or better still, go to wizards, and pair him up with arenas.
