    Daryl Morey would have been fired years ago and would probably be the Boston Red Sox GM or something while teaching a class at MIT

    Yup. We'd be stuck with no defense Chandler Parsons right now wondering if the Wizards would trade Ariza to us for a pupu platter. If we don't lose Parsons in the offseason, we don't get past the second round. Ariza >>>>>>>> Parsons

    I think josh smith and brewer had more to do with that. Ariza is not good. He was a subpar 3 point shooter except for a few hot stretches. Whenever they get rid of him people will start talking **** about him. He is like Battier the teflon don.

    Not really, because Cuban wants to be active and would make almost all of the calls of the FO. Rosas got pirated by the Mavs and then ended up quitting because he found out he couldnt do anything without Cubes permission. Not only that Cuban doesnt give a **** about the draft, whereas the draft is Morey's specialty so no way the Rox wouldve drafted anyone good.

    This thread is gold btw. 99er and one of the most obnoxious posters always yammering on about "true rockets fans" ends up creating a thread talking about how awesome it would be if the Rockets were owned by the enemy. What a spear in the gut for everyone who bleeds Rocket Red! If Cuban was in charge not only would the Rockets be in Dallas, there would never be a back 2 back as Cuban wouldve broken the champ team up to chase after Duncan, Kobe and Kidd.

    I would still have cuban. If the fans told cuban that the uniforms are ugly he would listen.

    Les still inherited charlie thomas and steve Pattersons team.

    And he still threatened to move the team to Louisville.

    Cuban would be like one of us owning the team. He is fan. .

    If any of us were owner I think we would be closer to Cuban than Les.

    I'm not sure the conflict there wasn't between Rosas and Donnie. Cuban wouldn't have hired him if he didn't want some changes. I suspect Donnie bristled that some of his power was being usurped.

    Further, Cuban is not nearly as active in the FO owner as many believe. He lets his team do their job. He doesn't figure out who to pursue, who to draft, etc. Donnie and his team do.

    Which is why Cuban + Morey would make a good team, not why they wouldn't. Getting better at the draft was the reason Cuban brought Rosas over...no reason to think he wouldn't have let Morey do what he hired Rosas for.

    I think some of you think les Alexander is steve jobs and the rockets are apple.

    This is definitely not the case.

    We're lucky he didn't move the team to Kentucky.

    Les is a new yorker.

    Cuban wanted to fix the mavericks. It's his passion.
    Les wanted to make money. It's his investment.

    So whenever you complain about how it's quiet at toyota center and it looks like all business people.

    Think about who owns the team.

    The mavs were number 2 in attendance and they weren't any good.
