    I guess this makes me a 71er. :)

    And most folks here have no idea just how egotistical, self-centered and full of himself Cuban is and how, in many respects, he has been the biggest problem with the Mavericks. And that's OK because after all, it's Dallas. But I digress...

    Haha, agree with you guys, I cheer for the rockets not Les... Sad about no playoff success (in years).

    I should have joined in 99 but really was just a lurker... I still have a new back 2 back championship hat with tags :) First game I went to live was in ~89... I'm from houston and won't quit the team ever, but I can't say I'm honestly happy about playoffs for the last 18 years.

    I also will never be a Mavs fan or something but I'm not blinded by our owner, we're basically middle of the pack.

    Some vets on this board don't even consider the Spurs a rival. :rolleyes:

    As much as I cheer against Dallas, Cuban is a better owner than Les. Not saying Les is bad, just that Mark's passion and personality is one of the best in sports. His money is long and he's young, so that helps too.

    here's what i believe his priorities are:

    China profit. ZTE is the official phone of the rockets. I know this, i think he sent calvin Murphy to ces.

    The rockets business clients.

    the rockets accounting budget.

    And at the bottom...winning

    Cuban is all of those, but what exactly has been the "problem" with the Mavericks? Besides obviously being a division rival for the Rockets.


    Question for the gallery, though:

    Since Cuban took over the team, the Mavs have been to the playoffs 13 out of 14 seasons (including 12 straight), had 11 straight seasons of 50 wins, 2 Finals appearances, a championship, 1 more conference Finals, and 4 conference semi-finals.

    Which franchises would not trade their last 14 seasons for the Mavericks' last 14 seasons?

    I figure:

    Spurs
    Lakers
    Heat

    Then...who else?

    Can't imagine the whining on clutch fans if Les let a future 2-time MVP leave for nothing and then blew up a championship team.
