If Lebron wants to leave Cleveland, why isn't he just as realistic as Bosh?

    im not saying by any means that wade isnt a great player but i HATE that trade. that gives up the entire future of this team.

    1. Cleveland is better then Houston, and they can pay him more money.
    2. He has no ties to Houston or Texas that would make him want to come here.
    3. NY is the only other possibility if they are able to get another marquee player to go there.

    I fear Lebron will go to NY and take either Bosh or Amare with him. That ruins the value of our picks.

    Bosh wants to be the topdog, not play 2nd fiddle to LeBron.

    Heck, why would Amare leave Phoenix now? They're going to the WCF, and is on a solid team playing with a top 3 PG. He has no need to leave for better prospects.

    I'm so sick of hearing that. It seems like an easy excuse for us Rockets fans to use. Sure he said that, but these players say things all the time they turn on. Why would Bosh play for the Olympic team if he was'nt going to be the "Top Dog"? Bottom line is he just wanted to win, and I think that's what it will come down to in the end....along with a big contract.

    It's not though. We are talking about the Rockets aquiring LeBron, hence on the Roster Movement part of the GARM.

    I think Houston has like a 20% chance at Bosh, but only a 1% chance at Lebron.

    However, if Houston wastes time chasing Lebron, that 20% on Bosh will go down. So if management is set on getting Bosh, they need to make Bosh their primary target and forget all others until they are rejected.

    Of course if a prime FA like Lebron or Wade were interested in Houston word of their interest would reach management. Then Houston can adjust it's strategy.

    (I know the 20% and 1% numbers are something I pulled from nowhere, lets just say that Houston's chances of landing Bosh are much higher than the chances of landing Lebron.)

    Comparing it to team USA is a poor example.

    It is a honor to even have a chance at being on the team. Has nothing to do with being the man on a NBA team.

    He was more realistic before we made the McGrady deal. At that time all the Rockets needed to do was trade Battier for an expiring contract and Lebron would hva ebeen a perfect option for Houston.

    We never had a chance of aquiring LeBron. We might not have one now either.

    Bosh is our only hope, unless Wade decides to bolt MIA.

    Here is what I think.
    If Magics win the title this year (which is quite likely), the chance for houston to get LBJ will significantly increase. Think about this from LBJ's perspective.
    1. It'll prove once again that to win a championship, it takes a quality big man.
    2. However, LBJ won't simply join the magics to team up with JH. Who he is makes it impossible to join a championship team. This eliminates the teams like Magics, Lakers and Celtics.
    Coming to Houston and teaming up with Yao will be a very realistic option if the above happens because Yao doesn't have a ring either. Aside from Yao, Houston can offer many other things that other teams (with a quality big man) don't (fill in the blanks).
    Another possibility is that he and Bosh join a same club like NYK. However, I don't think it'll necessarily happen because there are just too much uncertainty over there.
