If Lebron wants to leave Cleveland, why isn't he just as realistic as Bosh?

Exactly, when he was drafted. He didn't choose Cleveland to draft him. Do you really expect LeBron to start all over again and go through rebuilding with NY for the next 7 years? LeBron is all about the ring at this point in his career. He isn't 19 any more. He doesn't have the luxury of another 7 years.

I think the Nets stand a good chance of landing in the mix.

What ever team signs him, they won't trade him. My guess is LEbron stays in Cleveland barring something crazy, like losing to the celtics.

Look Lebron is not even going to hint at leaving right now because he is on the best team during the regular season and in the second round of the playoffs. If he is going to win a championship, it better be now and he knows that. If there was even a hint or a whisper that he was even looking to leave now then it undermines what he is doing today in the playoffs.

I would go to the Nets if I was Lebron. They have cap room for two max players. They have a high draft pick and a decent group of young players. Plus, they have a nice new stadium and a billionaire owner. It looks like a good situation.

Wow I can't believe LerBon's been in the league for 7 years! time flies by in a moment. It seems like yesterday I was a senior in high school and just got an acceptance letter from UH and LerBon was in his senior year about to go to the NBA (what a nice contrast).

With that in mind, I hope LerBon makes it to the finals and loses game 7 by a dramatic 1 point. That way he'd almost be in the promised land and would have no other choice but to stay since he'd practically be a foot in.

If LeBron's main concern is money: he stays with Cleveland.
If his main concern is winning: he stays with Cleveland (though I think the Rockets w/ LeBron would be better than the current Cavs).
If his main concern is his status as a sports icon: it doesn't matter where he goes because he already is one.

So here is my question: Why would he leave Cleveland (especially to go to a team like the Knicks or the Nets, who can't offer him more money and whose cities have a much higher cost of living than Cleveland)?

Do superstar players really think about cost of living? I don't think they really feel the difference in cost of living since they'd probably live glamorously wherever they are.

So I'm skeptical whether someone like LerBon or Kobe who's worth is more than all of us combined (slightly exaggerated) would consider cost of living as a real factor. I may be wrong though, just speculating.

Maybe for someone like Moochie Norris, cost of living would factor in.

LeBron will be a Knick next season.

    Book it.

When the cost of living is double, I think it's a serious consideration. If LeBron signed a contract w/ the Knicks for $20M a year, that would be the equivalent of making less than $9M a year in Cleveland.

Lebron leaving depends on the outcome of the Playoffs. If the team failed to win the Championship...i think he will have no desire of staying. If they win... of course no doubt he'll stay.

If he is going to be referred to as CB4 I hope he doesn't come here.

Such a stupid way to assign a nickname to a player.

Role players despite their great effort plus these stars without Yao is not going to make us a championship level team. That's one of the reasons why they might not be interested in Houston.

I don't see the Cavs S&T LeBron to anyone. No matter what they got back, it wouldn't be a good look for them. If he leaves he just leaves. They won't assist him.

Uh, because he is still an active player on his team. Bosh didn't say anyting until his season was over. Likewise for LeBron (if indeed he intends to leave).

Wade is much more likely. Miami only has 2 players locked up for next season (Beasley and Cook). They could blow it up and rebuild.

1st round picks, Budinger, Lowry (SnT), Hill, and Martin to Miami for Wade and Chalmers.

    Yao / Andersen
    Scola / Hayes / Jeffries
    Ariza / Battier
    Wade / Taylor
    Brooks / Chalmers

Miami gets 3 point shooters, and great players for Wade. I hate giving up Kevin Martin (and Bud), but for Wade (and bud) it's worth it.
