If Lakers fans can forgive Kobe for quitting, why can't we forgive Harden for quitting?

?

Should we forgive Harden for quitting on us?

  1. No, I have grown to HATE JAMES FRAUDEN.

  2. Yes, only when he brings us a championship.

Uh yeah you can.... That wasn't T-Mac's only shot at getting past the first round. You let me know once he makes it past the 1st round of the playoffs. Then we can begin to equate the two.

You realize that swyyguy doesn't care about the topic at hand or whether the Rockets win or lose, right?

This is sort of his shtick, he only makes threads like this when the Rockets lose.

He also contradicts himself with this very thread by calling out Harden for quitting because he's a Tmac nut hugger. The topic at hand is almost irrelevant at this point when you understand these facts and btw, I don't forgive James Harden for quitting in game 6 because I do think he mailed it in that game. But the OP isn't doing this to generate healthy discussion, he's doing it to throw salt around and take joy in it and now you're feeding him.

    LMAO

This is just a deflection argument. We can discuss every flaw that TMac has if you like. Doesn't change the fact that TMac never quit in the playoffs, and Harden did, which is the current topic of discussion.

Has nothing to do with Swy. This just turned into another episode of burning TMac at the stake. It's been almost 10 years and Clutchfans respect for Mac still hasn't normalized, while everyone still apologizes for Harden. Mac deserves at least a little love after those godawful excruciating playoff teams. (Not including 2005, which I personally believe was ref-influenced.)

How is that deflection? It's truth.

Any argument you make for Tracy is all good and well. It doesn't change the fact that he didn't get it done in Orlando or Houston. If you want to talk about choking then that may be a different story. IMO both these guys are chokers so far.

But to call a guy a quitter based on one game is completely illegitimate. I wonder how CP3 feels about joining a team with a guy that is a "quitter" since he's the complete opposite of that. Obviously he sees the game at a grander scale and does not have the same sentiment as you all here.

I loved Tracy when he was a Rocket, unbelievable player, but for you all to pit two or more players against each other that played for the same organization is bullsh*t and that's what brings the snarky frame of mind out of people who want to call you all out for your sh*t.

If McGrady said a player quit then he really did quit because TMac is the authority on the rules of quitting on a team.

    It's a deflection because it's a different topic.

Teams are measured by wins, players are measured by personal stats and effort level. I blame those series on the teams having zero bench scoring. Our 6th man was the corpse of Juwan Howard, Luther Head, or ... Kirk Snyder? LOL.

It doesn't logically follow that Harden > TMac because Harden has more playoff wins. If that were true, Robert Horry is better than Hakeem Olajuwon. It doesn't work like that.

Your point about calling James a "quitter" is yet another topic. I don't think James is a quitter, I have faith in him this year, with CP3. But he quit in San Antonio game 6.

EDIT: I re-read your post and saw that you said we shouldn't pit them against each other. I agree. Guess I misread this convo. I'm used to everyone gang-banging on TMac around here. :p

It's not burning Tmac at the stake, it's calling out hypocrisy and informing people to stop feeding trolls.

None of this is really about Tmac or Harden when it boils down to it.

Boys tryna derail my thread, lmao. Why are you bringing T-Mac into this discussion? This thread is about quitting in the playoffs; not turning it UP in the playoffs. Stay focused.

It's the only way he can get the attention that his parents didn't give him throughout his childhood and some of his adulthood
