Lol, stupid thread. Not only would Kobe try to take over the team, thereby stunting the growth of this young team, but he is, mileage-wise, the oldest 35 year old in the league.

Remember, Kobe came into the league straight out of high school, and except for his rookie season, he's played less than 37.5 minutes a game per season twice. And he's played almost another 3 whole seasons worth of games in the postseason; that's a lot of miles. Plus, he'd be turning 36 when he was truly fully recovered from his injury. **** that.

80 mil?! Lakers would be crazy not to amnesty Kobe, but Rockets would be r****ded picking him up.

I love how everyone keeps saying the lakers wont amnesty kobe bc he's done too much for them

1.Hakeem olajuwon did alot for us too and he went to toronto!
2.Patrick ewing did alot for the knicks but he ended up in seattle
3.Karl Malone did alot for utah but he ended up in LA

There is no precedent for not trading or re-signing a hall of famer. Hakeem the freaking dream brought us 2 titles and is possibly the greatest center of all time and we sent him to canada for god sakes
