What's with this stupid thread? Lebron hasn't even announce he'll be joining the Heats yet or even.

because LeBron booked 5 villas in Miami?

this thread already considers the notion that LBJ is joining the Heat.

I already respect Kobe. He has nothing else to gain other than getting into the hall of fame.

Wouldn't it be debatable? I've given Pippen plenty of credit on here for his role in the 6 championships with the Bulls but IF (big if) the Lakers go to their 4 straight Finals and threepeat, you have to at least consider the discussion.

He's had to go up against Amare, Dwight Howard and Kevin Garnett. If the Lakers faces the Heat in the Finals, that's another All-Star big man (Bosh) Gasol has had to match up against.

After all the old people die off, yea he will get respect.

Old people cling to the past too much.

How much more respect can the guy get. He's considered as the best closer in the game by many and he is also compared to Jordan.

Not at all... ESPN will fine broadcasters who mention Houston and bulletins about Kobe's bowel movements and speculation about how the Lakers would have done had they made it to the finals will replace all Rockets mention during actual finals broadcast.

"Yao makes an authoritative slam, but not nearly as authoritative as Odom would have don't you agree?...Definitely"

Respects come naturally after winning, not by demanding it off court with antics.

I'm a hater but I respect kobe's game. He will get one thing from me in a laker heat final: me cheering for the lakers. That's with or without labron.

Doesn't he already get enough respect? I will respect him more if he beats Miami's big 3. I think they will have a very good chance in a 7 game series because of role players and willingness to pay the luxury tax.

Well, the answer is yes and why isn't he getting respect now...?

many sports writers, coaches and fans consider him the 2nd best 2-guard in NBA history. He's now being mentioned with Michael and is being considered by some better than Larry and Magic....how is that not respect....

Let me guess you're in High School....

We'll see if you say that when you become one of those "old people".
