Average 2 guard for one of the best PG's in the league. I'm thinking not :) We'd definitely need to give up something of value. Hence my original remark of trading the #1 for Miller and their #6.

That way, we get an improvement at the #1 and probably pick Butler at the #3 (filling two needs).

I like the Cat alot, and I do consider myself a pretty harsh critic of him. But, he's very talented and played well last year. That being said, anytrade that will improve this team should be made. Just win, right?

Who says the wins will mount just because Andre Miller comes here? He's been in Cleveland for 3 years, but he hasn't led them even close to the playoffs. Steve hasn't either, but we sure got close in 2000. Andre Miller's teammates are mostly jumpshooters, so it is easier to get assists. Steve has Cuttino Mobley who run isolation plays, and Kenny Thomas who is not a jump shooter. Therefore it is harder to get assists.

Exactly. Why mess with the backcourt, when the small forward and center positions are the main concern? Steve and Cuttino are good.

You'll notice that the coaches agree that Miller is the better player as he gets picked to the team that will represent this country - and not Francis.

Look, I wrote the Stevie trade post half in jest as a relatively fair trade, but this is all predicated on Steve's demanding to be traded if he doesn't get his way on personnnel acquisitions.

Otherwise, I'm content with Steve rather than Miller plus the 7. To be fair to Steve, who knows if Troy Baros' account was the total or at least the bottom line truth at the end, after Steve thinks again..

This is not a thing to worry about. Steve has tremendous trade power just like Jason Kidd or Marbury. He can always be traded for an attractive package if there is a need for it in the future.
