Says who? National polls show a hypothetical Clinton/McCain race as a tossup.

It is already over. McCain has as much hope as Bob Dole.

I don't give a crap what letter is next to his name. My objection to Obama is primarily because of his stance on the issues. His complete lack of experience only makes it worse.

Of course he doesn't have a complete lack of experience. Disagreeing on issues is fine, but his lack of experience isn't accurate.

The one executive experience that McCain, Hillary and Obama all have is running a campaign. It is the singular biggest endeavor that any of them have undertaken, and involves managing people, being the executive and coordinating efforts nationwide, planning strategy, fiscal responsibility etc.

Only one campaign hasn't been in the red money wise, so the executive who has the best executive experience handling huge budgets so far has been Obama. The one campaign that's been the best run out of all three of them has been Obama's.

The first side by side chance we've had to see all three candidates as executive leaders, and the edge clearly goes to Obama.

So because Obama has done the best job raising money for his campaign, that means he should be President? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

And BTW, the more money Obama has raised, the less I want him to be President. Think of all the favors he's gonna owe should he win the election. It's even worse when you read about how he and Clinton are paying off the superdelegates.

Methinks he will indeed owe many "favors"

It goes way beyond just raising money. It involves strategy, setting up organizations and overseeing how they function all over the nation.

And sense Obama isn't taking money from special interests and most of his money are small donations from individuals he isn't going to owe anywhere near the kinds of favors a hillary Clinton might owe.

The paying off superdelegates looks to basically amount to donating money to their campaigns. I will keep my eye on that one, because it is the same problem with lobbying firms and unfair influence.

I agree with Count about Obama...

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm voting McCain because he won't stand by with political COWARDICE when Americans and American Allies are having their heads chopped off by Islamic militants. Bullets will be fired and bombs will be dropped and thats how it should be.

I want a president who is worried about Global issues and who is interested in protecting our way of life through whatever means necessary.

I want a president who will reduce the incidents of having our heads chopped off in the first place.

I like Obama because he has stated specifically that we won't take no for an answer when it comes to getting OBL. He's said that if we know where OBL is we will get him, if the nation that OBL currently resides in won't.

That is certainly tougher on terrorists than even McCain has been.

That's a good reason to never vote for Hillary then. Her husband had OBL in the crosshairs and refused to give the order to get him because he was afraid of collateral damage(that and he was "unreachable" on the golf course).

Interesting news coming out the last few days about McCain's finances and how he is financing his campaign. I'm sure he'll explain it all after we've all seen the stories.

Anyway, if you're interested you can start reading here.

Paul Kiel explains how John McCain didn't want to be subjected to public financing limits in his primary campaign if he won the GOP nomination--but was willing to use public financing to pay off his campaign debts if he lost.

Obama might have a better chance, but to say Hillary can't win is an overstatement. Trust me, I had the same dilemma you're having right now, and it felt a lot better to go with my own opinion instead of succumbing to what a hypothetical general election matchup might be.
