Scott Williams and Ervin Johnson to me provide nearly the same level of interior defense to Milwaukee that Mutombo and Ty Hill bring to the Sixers. Milwaukee's gonna win because they have 3 players who can consistantly score, while Philly only has Ivy and maybe McKie. ------------------ Bingbong was set up, led to an untimely death in the prime of his life for no other reason than pure malice. Things like that do not go unavenged. Sometimes it spills out onto the field of play.
There was a separate vote done by the players, and Iverson won the MVP for that too. He said something like, "this one means much more to me, because these are the guys I play against every night". ------------------
Wait and see, verse. The combination of interior defense and hustle with Mutombo, Hill, and Mckie coupled with the leadership and playmaking of Iverson (What? Iverson had 16 assists!?! But I thought he was a ballhog...doesn't he only care about getting "his"?) will be too much for the Bucks to handle. It will be a fun series though as Ray Allen has really come into his own. I predicted Spurs at the season's start, but I really hope its Lakers vs. Sixers. Mutombo and Iverson vs. Kobe and Shaq would be the most compelling matchup. ------------------ Interior defense wins playoff games.
