Well the fakers did just that best the j*zz soundly. We don't lose to them period whenbwe are striving to win it all. Perhaps kd had too much bbq for dinner at that SLC JOINT, he said it was FIRE .
I am Europe so checked when I woke up and fully expected the loss. It was a mega-trap game — blow out a team on their home court, embarrass them, get your confidence sky high … then come back after a fun night to coast on defense, take ‘the easy shot’ on offense, and don’t wake up until the hungry/angry team is up double digits. It happens all the time in the NBA even without the stupid B2B on the road multiplier effect. The Rockets will still easily make the playoffs - as long as they are top-6, the regular season is just a grind and a time for experimentation.
I watched every minute and hated it. But the Jazz have something resembling a NBA team and a coach who wants to keep his job. I wish Ime had kept Shepherd in the game but even he looked tentative in his defense. That said I would have just started spamming the Reeds shoot button from 3 ft beyond the arc
It’s one game. Defense was the issue. And yes, they went after Reed. Laker and Denver lost so standing didn't change much.
And yes, Aaron Holiday was worse, at everything and Ime stuck with him instead and thats the primary reason the Rockets lost. You just have to accept coaching to cost you some games when you have Ime
I'm hearing Dallas is wanting to get rid of copper fleck because he can't play da point gawd spot - -maybe bring him to the H town since udorka hates point gawds too
Despite losing a step and not as springy, capela has been impactful when he plays but doesn’t get much playing time.
Too much gloom and doom in here after a loss. As long as we have Adams, the ship will be right again. We are so damn fortunate to have a healthy Adams on this team. When AquaMan is in a fully charged mode doing his AquaMan things, we are very hard to beat. One small adjustment we need to make though, Reed needs to handle and shoot the ball much much more. Amen needs to use his athleticism to impact the game more without shooting and handling the ball, too many turnovers when he has the ball because of poor decision making. Amen can learn from watching Adams. Everyone has a role on this team. When we know our roles and play to our strengths, who the hell can beat us?
What adjustments did he need to make this last game? I didn’t like him pulling Tate out when he single handedly engineered a comeback and has momentum. I thought KD played sluggishly and Holliday wasn’t shooting well. Could have put JD in. Also they were killing us with their big lineup and we barely played Capela. These are pro teams. The difference between a good team and mediocre or bad team is small and more about chemistry, fit, experience, and know how. Players can still shoot and drive at a very high level. That’s why winning is so difficult.
Amen often beats his man to the paint then instead of going hard attacking the big or second level defender he passes out. Really passive at times. Between him and KD they have been very sloppy and careless with the ball. Can’t win like this. Teams are guarding Sheppard closer and hunts him for his defense. This is something to monitor moving forward. Hopefully Rockets adjust
Don’t know about 2nd round exit but not beating top tier teams is a legitimate concern. Our starting PG issue hurts us and our defense just isn’t as good as last year’s. This is something to monitor as well.
