I would definitley be looking at the Suns,Gortart is unhappy and its evident that the Suns need to blow I up. I'm thinking a package of Cole A and or G.Smith with P.Pat Or Morris a 2nd rounder would do it. With Smith and Morris looking like the more attractive package for two reasons. G.Smith is a young talented Center who can grow with the Sun if they blow it up with the other young pieces they have. And Morris can reunite with his brother and maybe rekindle some of that Kansas ball. I dont know how the numbers would work but I do know that Asik and Gortart both have the speed to play and cover the PF spot. If the Rockets want Gortat it will be to play and start at center. Asik is a vastly superior defender (probably the best defensive center in the NBA) but really mucks up the offense because he is a poor finisher. In order for the Rockets to get Gortat, they would have to send an equal salary back to Phoenix because Houston wants to keep their max cap space. Perhaps if the Rockets dealt Asik in a deal for Love or Aldridge or another elite player, and then the Rockets turned around and dealt for Gortat, I could see it happen.... other wise it is a long shot.
Why Gortat? Having Gortat and Asik would not be a great combo. If I had my choice between the two, give me Asik and a better PF instead of Gortat. Come on my man!
