There isn't much Lin can do in his situation.

We got a head coach that doesn't have the balls to hold his players accountable for their lack of efforts.

We got an immature, selfish team leader along with a bunch of young players, including the smiling diva, all of which do not possess leadership skills.

This team lacks of real leadership from top to bottom. Unless McHale starts doing his job as the leader of the team and drill in the heads of the players that they can only win championship if they play for each other, this team will go nowhere.

Did he not have that option? No one forced him to go find a contract offer. He could have just taken the qualifying offer from NY. Terrible, terrible business decision, but I guess the one you think would have made him happier.

The Rockets WERE one of the few teams to pick him up on the cheap. No team drafted him, but GS, Houston, Dallas and New York at the very least recognized he was worth taking a better looking at. EVERY team got it wrong with him, don't know what you mean by almost every other team.

P.S. Why any Lin fan would want him back in New York really amazes me. Weaker roster filled with bloated contracts with a guy who according to some Lin fans is who Harden aspires to and patterns his game after.

I never said anything about Lin should them and adopt a prima-donna attitude. What I said was he should blow it up. He shouldn't take crap from them and he should speak out and hold them accountable when the screw it up on the court. There's nothing prima-donna about that. Prima-donna is when you chuck up 4 for infinity on free throws and then look around to blame somebody else because you didn't switch out to defend the shooter on a last-second look.

The Knicks could have matched the offer and kept Jermey when he signed with Houston.. Are you sure they would trade for him. Jermey is averaging around 15 points a game... I don't see what all the fus is about.

The Knicks told him to test the market. No qualifying offer was made.

Wrong. HARDEN extends realizes it's Lin pulls away. Parsons walks away with not a hand to pick up tap on the shoulder or anyone coming to his aid. Someone should of been right over shoving any Laker b**** away from Lin.

Both Harden and Howard have been to the finals... Jermey can't demand anything until he performs in the playoffs. A month or two of good games during the regular season in NY isn't enough to make players bow down to him.

And if TBLs assumption is true he could have kindly declined searching out an offer and said I will sign with you for the least amount possible because it will make me happy. I'm positive the Knicks would have been more than happy to have him at the QO price.

If I were basketballholic right now...I would be a man, honor my bet, and not sneak back into the forum using a different moniker.

If I were Jeremy Lin right now... I'd encourage my fans to remain level-headed, and just enjoy some great Rockets basketball. Really enjoy it, cheer, and have fun. Nothin' else matters.

But, I'm not Jeremy Lin. Neither are you.

This promises to be a special season, and we've seen glimpses of what this team can accomplish. So, if you're not enjoying Rockets basketball, then what the heck are you doing here, trolling and being trolled?

All Lin has to do is continue doing what he's doing. He's playing exceptional so far. Enough said. I swear a lot of you guys are making him up to be a fragile little biatch.

Lin's efficiency numbers are one of the best in the NBA right now, though most no one here chooses to appreciate it. I think Lin being more assertive is the better way to phrase it.

If the Rockets' choose to not pick up the team option on Lin, next year will be his last year. If he improves as much from this year to next year as he improved from last to this year thus far -- with the above efficiency rating -- well, it would probably be best for Lin to move on. Maybe with the Rockets too, since they don't know what they have.

The Knicks never made Lin any formal offer whatsoever. Instead they told Lin to test the market, which he did. After the Rockets made an offer, the Knicks scoffed and publically stated they would match any offer. Then the Rockets called that bluff and added the third year poison pill. The Knicks backed down.

Lin made the Knicks exciting again. Now when you watch the Knicks they are a boring team.

Man, your post clearly shows that you are not familiar with Jeremy Lin's history....

The Knicks made an absolutely stupid mistake of asking Lin to go out and test the market. Of course Morey was waiting to pounce. And of course, Morey was desperate not to have Courtney Fortson as the starting point guard for the Houston Rockets for the season 2012 / 2013. So desperate that he got into a bidding war with the Knicks over Jeremy's signature, and "bid over his actual market value" for him

P.S. Why not? While I am BOTH a Rockets fan (first) and a Lin fan, and am extremely happy that he was brought back to the Rockets, please note that other than the Warriors (hometown team), the Knicks was / is the place where he first made his name and was given his first legitimate chance (regardless of the circumstances). A substantial majority of the Knicks fans adore him and wish he was back. And despite what is happening to the Knicks right now, I don't think he (Lin) is the type of "fairweather" player who only seeks out a successful / championship team.

That's why I had a big laugh at Reeko Htown's statement that Lin should check his bank account. If he had been given a real legitimate choice between the Rockets and the Knicks, even with a better offer on the table from the Rockets, he would probably be a Knicks at the moment. Of course, then Clutchfans would not have any of this "LOF crap" to deal with, since he was "stupid" enough to leave more money on the table ;)

Can't be a diva in the NBA when you haven't even:
    1. Performed on the playoffs well.
    2. made allstar appearance.
    3. at least made someone important's list of top 20 player in the NBA.

all you can do is to shutup and take it. go home after practice and count your money!

    Whoa, easy there sister....

I agree we all do not care what he had for breakfast. But there are many posters here who assume that he had a choice to pick between the Rockets and the Knicks when he essentially had no choice in the matter.

No need to get your panties into a twist, you know....

Besides the acronym-filled naming calling, "McFail" was invented before Lin was on the team:

I don't think Lin fans are the only ones who have or should have a problem with Harden's D, am I right?
