Watched it. Lin took the hard fall at 6:12 in the second. Missed both free throws. He was looking at his elbow (this is when it got hurt?). Looks to the sideline and mouths something like "I'm coming out?" with some surprise, gives an exasperated semi-eye roll shoulder slump and goes to bench. Next we see, Bickerstaff is leaning over Jeremy where Jeremy is sitting, saying something, then goes back to his seat.
You were not him, and you will never be, so just stop it. I don't think he will be happy to take your advice. It's too much.
Fortunately, Lin knows it's SIX GAMES into the season, so he wouldn't think like you. Or would even want to.
yeah noticed that too. i wouldn't say snapped, but he was telling mchale to keep him in there since he was on a roll. but he had just taken a hard fall and missed two free throws - they probably wanted to check on him and make sure his elbow is ok and give him a little breather. i personally thought that was a bad substitution - took the momentum away from the rockets a little bit; he was feeling it and you could tell. the offense got bogged down a little after that.
If I were Jeremy's mom I would send you to your room . You're asking Jeremy to do what we don't want his teammates allegedly did to him. I'm sure Jeremy has a better way of communicating with his teammates other than throwing a tantrum and putting on a show.
There's a difference between having the opinion that Harden plays no D and posting "Haren" all the time. If someone thinks he plays no D, fine. But posting "Haren" instead of "Harden" every time is not what people come to CF to read. OK, maybe you think this is a place for methodically dissing Rockets players (what LOF's do), but I think it is a place to try to enjoy the Rockets as much as possible. Would it hurt you to write the "d" in Harden's name instead of repeating the diss endlessly?
If I were Jeremy, I will kiss up to Dwight and hope Dwight will have some influence to get me back to the starting lineup
Oh boy, blowing things up. If you were the alpha dog, you might have some leverage, but still, you would put yourself into a corner with tainted reputation. Then, all pressure would be on you to lead the team to success AFTER you get what you want. Now, if you were the No. 2 guy, you might have your voice heard, and Coach/GM might talk to you in private and try to calm you down. But in all fantasy, that you were Jeremy (God Forbid!), you are still arguing whether you will be a 3rd guy (on a good day), or the 4th, 5th on a normal day, or even 6th on a bad day, ONLY thing you can blow up is your own career. Seriously, Lin had enough help from some of his "fans" already. He doesn't need such help to drive people away.
SAME old problem with Melo. As a PG, Lin wants efficiency. But the team wants him pass the ball to their stars even if they are struggling with lower FG% and not opened. In most teams, their PGs are franchise players so they have no problem with this. Now, they want to turn Lin into another Mario Chalmer. Lin doesn't want to change his style and wants attacking, so he get benched.
Lin's not trying to get his starting job back. The fact that he's outperforming almost everyone is just a coincidence.
Lin>>>>>bev. Anyone rates bev better than lin should have their brain checked. Jeremy, stand up and be a man, you are good enough and marketable to a leader in a NBA team. This Bev thing should be over.
I agree with you. I think it is perfectly fine to criticize players. But name calling gets me a little upset. I left Chron.com because there were too much name calling. Let's be respectful to each other and the players
Wait. Wait, wait, wait. Is THIS the play people have been whining about? Where Harden and Dwight allegedly looked at Jeremy on the ground and just walked away? If so, I'm super mad I believed the hype and let that worry me today.
Maybe there is some truth to this. Lin keeps saying he just wants to play his brand of basketball. McHale says Jeremy is comfortable with who he is. Jeremy's brand of basketball better suited with the second unit since the team is more invested in the other ball dominant guard.
Ha, yeah it could be. A few have made a big deal out of it. It's been pure mayhem around here, so who knows.
