OK, while it's been pointed out that this is one of the most rediculous threads ever on this board (personally, I find it amusing :D), I do have one question because I've seen this come up a few times this season.

Why do you guys want to fire Rudy? We know why LHutz wants to, but what's the rest of you guys' excuses? Do you realize that there are 20 teams that would kill to have a coach like Rudy on their payroll? You guys got hit hard by injuries. Honestly, I don't think the 15 game losing streak was just because of injuries (just my opinion), but every team goes through spells where they don't play well. Yours just happened to coincide with the injury to Steve Francis.

Just curious why you guys want to fire a top 10 coach who has 2 rings.

Also, I thought the guy that started this was a Raptors fan (VinceCarter15). Am I wrong?

I think we should do this trade.

Houston trades: Kelvin Cato $6,048,000 to Minnesota
Houston trades: Glen Rice $8,800,000 to Minnesota
Houston trades: Walt Williams $5,000,000 to Minnesota
    TOTAL: $19,848,000

Minnesota trades: Kevin Garnett $22,400,000 to Houston
    TOTAL: $22,400,000

    TRADE ACCEPTED

We'd be sending 3 wise, old, experienced veterans & taking an expensive, skinny, snot-nosed kid off their hands. On top of that, we'd help them reduce their team salary. Then, after that, because I'm feeling really generous, I'd take that alphabet kid off their hands in this deal.

Houston trades: Dan Langhi $465,850 to Minnesota
Houston trades: Jason Collier $1,280,040 to Minnesota
Houston trades: Tierre Brown $332,817 to Minnesota
    TOTAL: $2,078,707

Minnesota trades: Wally Szczerbiak $2,313,240 to Houston
Minnesota trades: Cash Considerations of $3,000,000 to Houston
    TOTAL: $2,313,240

    TRADE ACCEPTED

This trade would help them shore up their center position, give them a starting PG in order to allow Brandon to come off the bench that he seems to have fallen in love with, & offer a skinny, snot-nosed kid to replace that expensive one, just in case some of the fans really liked him. Minnesota would have to include the $3 million in cash, because of the labor expenses involved in sewing all those letters on that alphabet kid's jersey.

These 2 trades, which we could actually combine into one big one, would give us a lineup of:

    C: Griffin/Willis
    PF: Garnett/Taylor/KT
    SF: Szczerbiak/T-Mo
    SG: Mobley/Torres
    PG: Francis/Moochie

You know, on second thought, those trades are going to leave us a little thin at the center position, which is where we're at now. Forget those trades, they wouldn't help us fill our main need area anyway (depth at the center position). :D

I do not want Rudy fired. The only times that I have gotten upset with Rudy T during the streak was when the team didn't show any effort. Losses to the Bulls, the Grizzlies, etc. were terrible losses, not because they were to those teams, but because the Rockets didn't even bother to show up.

I think alot of people want Rudy gone because they tire of his offensive sets and his substitution patterns. I do get annoyed from time to time with these as well, but I feel that no matter who the coach is, there will be things that they do that will cause people to question those decisions.

And as for VinceCarter15? Beats the **** out of me, Nuggets4 on what he is. He says he is a Rockets fan, but I highly doubt it.

You know me as a Broncos fan. That would be like me going to a Broncos BBS and calling myself RayLewis52 & saying that I'm still a Broncos fan. I have a feeling that many people wouldn't believe me if I said I was a Broncos fan with that handle...just a hunch, though. I say they would probably believe me as much as I believe that "Vince" is in his 40s.

The answer to that question is Jim Boylen. In fact, in a recent article in the Chronicle, Moochie Norris gave him credit for his transition from a CBA castoff to a legitimate NBA backup.

    P.S. This thread blows. :)

Man, when Jeff bashes someone's thread...... ;)

    Manny,

I get your points about Rudy. It's just that I've noticed a few people posting stuff about wanting Rudy fired. That always confuses me.

By the way, I praise you for your great taste in football teams. Just gotta work on that basketball thing. :D

It's really nice that a Raptors fan is trying to help us out. How much cash comes with Rashard Lewis??? Man would Lewis be pissed if that was all it really took to get him.

This has been one entertaining thread

Well if we wouldn't have tied up the money in Rice and Taylor, we would have a easy chance at bidding for Lewis. I mean that 14mil right there along with williams salary coming off the books . Sometimes dreaming is ok, but when I look at the chances of us having Francis,Mobley,Lewis, and Griffin at the 1,2,3,4, it just really piss me off. Instead we have to look at Walt Williams,Glen Rice and maybe slow ass taylor for the next few years. Man , what a little forward thinking will do for an organization. I would put that starting linup against any in the west.
