?

IF this is a 'Screw u, i aint playing for you...' scenario... how to proceed?

  1. Make a deal and get whatever you can to get this ingrate out the door!

  2. Screw him - Let him sit! Fine him, withhold pay, do whatever you can if he wont honor his contract!

  3. We can still fix this! Kiss his butt and coddle him some more so maybe he will honor his contract.

Agreed on this but nothing should change for the time being. If we get a monster offer take it. If we don't then hope he shows up eventually. Harden doesn't seem like the type to sit out a season of his career over a trade request.

If we're not getting good offers there's no reason to really evaluate a trade until close to the trade deadline. If the offers now are mediocre to bad they likely won't get any worse waiting until at least then.

Unfortunately while he sits he will still count against the cap as a max player. Plus how are you going to replace his production? It’s counterproductive . You trade him to recoup some value back.

There have been a few reports over the years about guys like Ariza being pissed that James gets coddled... obviously CP3s brand of accountability didnt fly... and supposedly WB called out Harden last season...

There's always been a crowd that has dismissed any bad press about James - and then there are some that have made unjustified attacks... so who knows what to believe...

Whatever scenario you can imagine - there are reports on both sides of the issue... welcome to 2020! lol

He's on contract. Not sure if tilman will allow, but sit his ass for the next two seasons. Let's see what that does to his career and stats.

Harden wants to show Tilman who's team it really is.

The problem with that strategy is that no matter how much any of us hates the idea, it really is Tilman's team.

I still say he joins the team tonight or tomorrow and this blows over by the weekend.

This is actually a important point. Harden cares a lot about numbers as evident by how many times he plays in blow out games to get his headline stat for the night. That means he cares about career numbers such as all time pt rankings as that is what is going to prop him up as a legend rather than his playoff success similar to Malone.

So ya, is he really going to risk two years of empty stats as he ages?

yes he did... but im referring to some mid season fracas last year... players meeting or whatever where WB called out James for lack of off ball movement and leadership... iirc...
Was only around for a couple days... it was dismissed as 'see what great friends they are - they can even hold each other accountable - but still be tight!'

welp... if James wanted Wall over WB... who knows... or if thats even true... lol

Oh I see now I know what you mean but the toxic culture was aimed at Tillman but I see what you mean now.

Suit him up - and sit him... put him in for 2 or 3 mins during blowouts - and nobody pass him the ball... lets see how many goose eggs his stats can eat... lol

yeh, i think we can all agree that Tilman is toxic - period...
but the question was regarding a 'toxic culture cultivated by Morey' and mentioned Harden had been here for years without issue... so thats more what i was replying to...
The first time I heard players differentiated between 'cornerstones and role players' during D12's stint it was concerning... Obviously, that mind set is reality - but you dont verbalize it... you gotta maintain the 'we're 1 team - and we win or lose as a team...' mentality...

The only issue I had was the Cp3 mess. They should have worked it out amongst themselves and not allow Tillman to make that trade. Dwight has been cancer wherever he has landed prior to last season. He behaved last season because he had no choice or he has finally grown up. Hope it’s the latter. The guy has been toxic in his own right. This is a guy who the Hawks players had a party to celebrate his departure according to Zach Lowe. The Hornets players were ecstatic as well.

Paul was different . Harden should have listened to him even with Paul’s annoying demeanour he meant well

Agree, but you still hold out till you get the trade you want. I don’t think that should pressure you into a bad trade, because sitting out doesn’t help him either...

Harden is too much if a baller to sit out. I think the rockets should call his bluff and wait it out, cause Harden will crack first.

Was thus reported or just your assessment? Doesn’t make sense how it escalated so quickly. I dunno. That is one theory though. In Tillman’s defense most owners don’t want to go over the tax. Just business common sense.

1- The Tilman will fine Harden the maximum allowed til he returns.
Trade him next season to the highest bidder-

    Or

2- The Tilman will kiss his arse and give him more control -
Harden agrees on an extension to retire a rocket-
