I think he's looked great, just hasn't had the flashy plays like before.

He's probably been our best pass rusher the last two games -- the problem is that nobody really notices because the QB has already gotten rid of the ball by the time Cushing comes around the corner. I remember watching him on a few replays and he was relentless on the blitz.

He was the one applying pressure on Eli back when he threw his first pick to McMannis.

I have seen him overpursue a couple of plays, but he has been very solid against the pass and run.

If this guy isn't on something I would be shocked. Maybe he hasn't been caught and maybe he won't but just look at his face.

The two interceptions that Eli threw were both a result of Cushing being right on Manning's ass...nothing in the boxscore shows that Cushing had anything to do with the two turnovers, but if anyone watched the game, they would know that Cushing was the reason for those two interceptions.

The guy was a beast and still is a beast.

Merriman got 8.5 sacks in 4 games after his suspension and 12.5 sacks the next season, making 2nd team all-NFL. It was the following year he got hurt and missed the season and after that when he wasn't the same. I'm going to say it was the injury that caused him to fall off the map.

Well, his injuries could very easily be a result of the PEDs...all the different injuries he has gotten have been the types of injuries you would see from a steroid user.

Then you have a guy like Welker who is out on the field, running around like crazy, less than 8 months after an ACL tear.

I'd put my money on steroids being the downfall of Merriman's career.

That doesnt mean much at all. Comparing 2 games he's played in to his entire last season? Like someone said previously, let's judge him at years end when it's apples to apples.

And four years before that picture was taken, he was a 175-lb walk-on true freshman, not big or fast enough to get a scholllie - he magically morphs into a workourt warrior/genetic freak posting insane combine numbers. I guess he ate his Wheaties. Or his Wheatadekabol.

Yeah hall of fame genetics and maturation obviously had nothing to do with it.

After all, no one changes body shape during their transition from high school to the pros.

it didn't have anything to do with it all throughout high school, until magically, after 2 years of not being able to crack the rotation due to lack of size & strenght, he expanded, not only to a level good enough to play at USC, but to a level in which he blew away

A miracle of strength and conditioning, an absolute miracle.

It's doubly odd that you mention his "HOF" genetics (Clay Matthews jr is not in the Hall of Fame) because I can think of lots of other athletes - some with actual HOF genetics (Kellen Winslow III, Jarret Payton) who were actually good enough athletes that they were able to show this prior to age 20, and get actual scholarships to colleges, due to the fact that nobody said they were too small or too slow to do so, as was CMIII. None of them underwent the magical second puberty that you claim CMIII underwent here.

Oh - and nice, yeah Shaq's a great comparison here, a guy who was a physical beast in high school & as a ture freshman at LSU, and a guy who was considered to small or slow to get a scholarship in high school - How does this help your cause exactly?

PS .....Was he doing face and bone expanding exercises too? Do you ahve some good Skull-expanding exercises I can do? I need a wider cro-magnon brow like Clay magically developed

OK your proof is he was small in high school and then blew into a physical beast during college.

Your proof is he has a large jaw and an early man brow that are not genetic traits but drug induced.

If his uncle had his same body fat % he would easily have a larger jaw. Does Bruce have a low enough brow for you?

And check out this pair of unibrows
    [IMG]

this is the same rehashed said heard all the time about juicers. When he gets a positive drug test like Cushing he is a juicer. Before that it is all rumors and this evidence is total BS.

No my proof is that he was small and slow in high school and in college, and the reason why he didn't play was he was considered to lack NFL (or even Division I-A) size and strenght and speed. But lo and behold he developed all-3 simultaneously at age 20. A-mazing.

No my proof is that he lacked one in high school and college and magically developed one, along with NFL size and strength and speed.

Not to mention the number of other players at USC during his era that tested positive (Mantits Cushing, the Ting brothers)...oh and guess who the Ting brothers father is....Dr. Ting, orthopedist to Barry Bonds of all people. Maybe he taught his sons the Face-expanding exercises that Clay used! :) And

Not that anybody would cast a cloud of suspicion over the alma mater of Mark McGwire, of course.

No, before he gets caught, the evidence is still the evidence, and the truth is the truth, and in this case it's very clear that there are legitimate suspicions unless you're a gullible idiot or an fmullegun.

Many guys have developed late size and strength. See Jacoby.

People faces change as they get older. If you noticed, the caveman look runs in the family.

I think it is pretty widely believed that Cush and Clay were pretty close buds and were both considered "scrubs" when they started their college careers. if I remember correctly, Cushing came in as a safety. Both of them suddenly bulked up and became freaks of nature. A pretty common consensus is that they used something to become the animals they are today.

That's why this thread is stupid. In his two games back, he has been the best player on the defense.
