Draymond Green and Klay also took less money, that lead to the KD signing. The entire Warriors team built on guys taking less money so they can add guys like Iggy, Livingston, and KD
Capela was an idiot. He would have got max this offseason. Why should cp3 take less. The owner can spend more. Why do fans always side with the owners.
I hate to say "I told you so" on yet another thread but.. who am I kidding I love it. No seriously though I like what CP3 did in the playoffs but you dont pay an aging injury prone star 40 mil a year. Big no no. Said it during the summer and I'll say it again "Rocket are not serious about winning" with that move.
I know. But the fact that we are letting go of some players and signing only a bunch of vet min guys is mostly about not wanting to pay the tax.
For all the people whining and b****ing about CP3 being selfish and greedy, do they feel the same about Harden not taking OKC's offer back in 2012, which was something like 5 million less than what his max? And technically, CP3 did take less as he was eligible for the 5 year max from the Rockets. Looking back at the threads when CP3 got traded to the Rockets, nearly everyone here and in the media assumed Rockets would extend him to the full 5 year max the following year.
I'm siding with the owner in this case, because CP3 simply isn't worth 160 mil. Not even close. If this was 28 year old CP3, then you give him 200 mil if needed. Instead, we have the third or fourth highest payroll in the league, and can't play .500 ball.
is the title already awarded? so who won it all? i didnt get the memo its being awarded in November now...damn silver is getting out of hand with the rule changes
CF during and right after our latest postseason: "CP3 definitely deserves max money. I hope offer that to him, so that he stays and we run the western conference for years." CF during this season and right after our latest game: "CP3 sucks. We shouldn't have given him max money." jfc. Get a holt of y'all selves.
We let go of 2 people... one who would wanted $10M more than his actual value and one who is by far worse than Ennis this season.
