    Morey doesn't need a plan B.

Amare would work for me if the Rockets don't get Bosh.

PLan A could also be a smoke screen, two or three teams over bid for Bosh and fight it out while Morey & the real plan A goes to work undisturbed by the other three teams. It has happened before!!! :p

I really believe we will see B Miller here next year as a backup C. With or without Bosh.

To get Bosh we are going to have to give up picks and at least two good players. Popular players (so be prepared top say goodbye). Scola will stay if we get bosh so that he can play PF and slide Bosh to C when Yao goes out of the game. If we could have Yao, Bosh, and Martin on the floor, the other 2 players wouldn't really matter much. Lowry, Ariza, Battier, Budinger all of them would fill in nicely around that.

I think these are great points and some of the same points i have been making. I'm not saying morey got lucky, he did an excellent job getting rid of tracy and getting martin, hill, and the picks, but everyone was gearing up for this year. Walsh had his hands tied from management to get down as low as possible. No way walsh makes that deal witout being forced. Toronto wont be forced to make or take what they don't want because there are alot of teams with options. Not only that, the teams with cap space or expirings like some you mentioned.

I agree, Morey is trying to get Bosh for the right price (he's not going to break the bank, like with Gortat) so if doesn't happen with Bosh, he'll go to the next plan/deal/player etc... We all should know how Morey works by now, he gives each player a value and sticks by it, this way he doesn't ever do a Matt Maloney type deal

I think this thread is backwards. Daryl Morey is a lot like Chuck Norris..

Daryl Morey doesn't need to worry about whether Bosh wants to come to Houston or not, Bosh needs to worry about whether Daryl Morey will allow him in..

I was watching the Magic-Hawks game tonight and thinking that even if we don't get Chris Bosh, I would take this hypothetical team

    over this real contending team

We know Yao can handle Dwight, and the only issue with the bigs is when Gortat comes off the bench. Martin and Ariza can be so much more efficient than Barnes and Carter, but probably not as explosive in a sudden scoring way.

Little do we know for sure, but don't be too upset when we find that Morey was moving another team towards Bosh while CP3 was plan A all the time!

exactly, i've been fighting for awhile on another thread to point out the reality in nba free agent market. rox is just one of them. we are no difference from other teams. bosh is a big name. alot of teams will find way to figure out how to get him.

fans here are just crazy. they think bosh has no other choice but rox. they listed tons of reasons houston must be bosh only destination. they even put yao in their selling points to bosh. c'mon, if majority on this board can't have 100% sure about yao's future, such as whether yao is able to play at the level he was before the last injury, whether another season ending injury happens to him again, or ... how can you sell it to bosh? just tell him yao 100% healthy and yao back to 100% old yao? they treat bosh and raptors as idiots. they are thinking we can just dump all garbages to toronto to get bosh so when they listed our roster for the next season. all best players are still on the list. all garbages are gone. their imagination really amazes me.

I have been asking myself the same question as well. Neither player is a center and Scola is the tougher player player between the two.

until yao can take over major minutes at 5 bosh will be main force at 5 IF WE GET BOSH. when yao back to normal, bosh will play 4 at the time yao is on the court. when yao goes to bench, bosh will slide to 5 and scola will play 4.

what about Anthony Morrow as a plan c or plan d?

he's a free agent this summer. Maybe we can get him for half the mle?
or trade jermaine taylor plus david andersen for a s&t Morrow. or make it a bigger deal and try to get ronny turiaf aswell.

I think he would fit in well with this team. he's pretty one dimensional but he's already one of the best shooters in the nba. I think he's 46% from 3.
we could have him coming off the bench with chase and lowry.
