i've been to beijing, china multiple times. sometimes, a new release will come out on dvd there on the same day it comes out here in the u.s. Sometimes, they will even come out a few days earlier!!! i think people either get access to reels or early releases/previews, then record them on digital video, and send them to china. quality usually sux a$$ though. yeah, they cost like a $1.

dvd5 and dvd9??? not sure, it might be the region code. not sure on that though.

 Off topic. Take the inflammatory remarks outside.

All I'll say is, what's the matter, ticked off that you don't get the full Anti-Bush slant from all six major US networks instead of just five?

    Go Rockets!

    Thanks, lancet and tiger!

Every time we read one of these interviews, there is always some fresh new analogy or take on the game of basketball, which makes him so refreshing to the public. I liked the comparison with the sword.

Yang Yi: What's the difference between JVG and Rudy?
Yao Ming: Ball distribution. Now whenever I get position, I don't have to worry whether I will get the ball or not. Ball will always comes to me first, whether I decide to shoot or not. If there is no double team, then I can decide to make an offensive move. If there is double team, I can dish out the ball immediately.

    Man, I'm jacked already.

You bought Planet of the Apes? Even if it worked in the right region, you still wasted $5.00.

DVD9 = Higher quality. Many times a copied-version which 'ensures' as close quality as the non-pirated DVDs.

DVD5 = Crap stolen (recorded using hidden cam) from preview. You can hear when somebody said he/she wants to pee.

If you go to Chinatown in NYC, you can also get movies on VCD and DVD before they are released. The quality of the ones that I've seen are pretty bad. I prefer the theater experience anyway.

I remember last year the pirated DVD of lord of the rings was just surprising it was on the market 1 week before the movie opened and it was super clear (like the original without the special features of coarce)

The theater experience? You mean paying $7.50 for a ticket and $5 for a soda and $3 for a tub of popcorn? Yeah, I love getting raped too...

NO,not really.DVD5 and DVD9 are two forms of DVD which have different data volume.DVD5 just contains single layer where data track lays while DVD9 has double layer. So obviously DVD9 has got larger data volume than DVD5. And the proportion of the volume is 9 to 5.That is why we call it DVD5 or DVD9.
Yes, DVD9 has a higher picture quality as it has a lower compression ratio of picture than DVD5 because its larger volume.
And DVD9 always has a dynamic and dramatic menu which I like best of it!!!!!
