And all of their worth combined would find themselves stranded at the feet of Warren, Bill, Elon, and the other tech CEOs.

Google contributed, what, 97% to Dems?

    ;)

even in your misguided viewpoint the ENTREPRENEURS (in the strictest sense of the word, not the loose one you've assigned yourself) that have driven forward much of the prosperity of the last few years tend to be strong progressives. oh well.

    This is so dumb!

The middle class is everything. They are the people who do the hard work for business owners. If you do nt care about the middle class then you do not care about our economy.

Every single business you talked about is only possible because of the middle class. That's who created the demand for any of the goods or services in just every single business. The middle class are the ones who keep any of the businesses you talked about going. Without them there would be no jobs.

You can look at 1928 and 2008, the years before great financial collapses, and you'll see that wealth inequality was at it's greatest in those times. The economic collapses happen when the middle class doesn't have enough to spend to keep the economy going and growing.

Executives can't make a profit by selling more, because people can't buy more, so they make a profit by cutting the workforce. The wealthy still make a profit, but not for long, and it wouldn't be as great as when there is a healthy middle class to spend the money.

Really executives can't make more? I'm pretty sure most of the conglomerates like coke, pepsi, etc derive most of their profits abroad. The american middle class is spoiled and hence why america is in such a drain. People don't appreciate a mediocre life and always want more. Look at what middle class is abroad before making a statement like that.

I agree businesses need a middle class to operate, but that has nothing to do with the middle class OWNING and CREATING JOBS. All that is done by the $100k+ crowd and banks

    You're wrong.

Demand for products and services is what creates jobs. Without demand, business owners will refrain from adding to their payrolls, as we have clearly seen over the last 5 years. Low demand, driven by stagnant middle class wages makes for SLOW economic growth. Cutting taxes on rich people does NOT lead to increased growth, as evidenced by the lack of stimulus provided by the Reagan and Bush tax cuts.

I honestly don't know if he's trolling. His posts make that little sense.

Back in my day, trolling meant something.

Demand creates jobs. Demand for more goods and services forces business owners to produce more more goods and services which forces them to create more jobs.

And demand is created by ALL of the consumers in the U.S, which is why the belief that tax-cuts to the rich stimulate the economy is absolutely ridiculous. The rich will continue to spend no matter what; elevated tax levels won't have much of an impact on their desire to buy more goods.

The middle and poor classes, however, will certainly stop consuming at high levels if the economy is bad and they're receiving few tax benefits.

So, to answer your question, middle class and poor people create jobs by having enough money to spend.

Pretty sure your supposed job was created by the middle class. Unless you believe only 1% uses ATMs.

Lmao. "Higher Student Debt Rates" is a crisis? I mean, we have negative to zero percent savings rates nationwide, and you're wondering why the price of borrowing is increasing. Hell, if money markets weren't so manipulated, one may presume that, since there is no supply of savings, that the price of borrowing would be very high, all else equal. But the low interest rates we see today is a crisis... It won't be long before we all vote ourselves an income. Whoever guarantees I won't have to work has my vote!

They will say this about the next president. And they said it about the last president. It's just b.s. stupidity that one side needs to rip apart the current admin.

A waste of a thread, a waste of a discussion, and a waste of human energy. These are by far the stupidest more idiotic of the D&D
