from everything I've heard from those that have been around him since his lsu days, that isn't something that is likely. you're not trading wall for simmons so not much to be discussed at this point

He has been a premier prospect for a long time, he has been shown how to shoot numerous times. I think the issue is that when he was a teenager he didn't need to shoot well, and since then I don't think he has a great feel for shooting and now it is also a confidence issue. There is a chance he becomes an adequate shooter, but there is a better chance that this is who is .... and the Rockets have to decide if they are happy with that.

Simmons and Wall would be great playmakers for the Rockets. He is very good at pick and roll and making place on the block. Simmons and Wood would be very good in the future and having Wall, Boogie put it too another level now. Simmons remind me of McGrady but he is a better defender. He only been in the league for 3 years this following year he should be averaging 20 points a game and 9 rebounds. WE NEED PLAYMAKERS....WALL, BOOGIE, SIMMONS AND WOODS ARE PLAYMAKERS IN THE WEST.

I posted about him a year ago and this a big reason simmons is who he is. we've gotten a glimpse of all this since hes been in philly. Can morey and doc change this? That remains to be seen

Simmons clearly wouldn’t be the final piece. We would have to land a top 10 player eventually. Maybe we can deal Ben Simmons later on for the player we really want.

Not sure how he reminds you of McGrady they're two totally different players. McGrady was a walking bucket that could score at all levels. Gambling on Wall & Cousins has the chance to be an epic failure which we all know, but I think it's fair to say Simmons has peaked. Not to mention his injury concerns.

I mean, it think we're pretty much saying the same thing, or at least have the same end goal, cause i don't see this team with Simmons as a playoff team either, but that's why i want to dump Wall, we have to maximize our 2022/23 picks, i don't think we can do that with the current team minus Harden, whether we get Simmons or Herro.

And for the record, for me it isn't really Simmons or bust, although i do like him more than Herro (who i still like a lot), but i just want the Rockets to put themselves in the best postion possible to be competitive again, and i think on paper pairing Simmons with another max player would be better and much less dangerous then waiting for something good to happen/develop around Wall and Herro when we have also those picks/swaps to send to OKC again in three years.

Some people just dont have the affinity for shooting. All you have to see is his FT%. Its not pretty. Its probable that Simmons never develop into an adequate outside shooter. If Simmons with all his physical gifts and basketball intelligence could shoot a 3, he would never be available in a trade for anyone.

Don't get me wrong. Ben Simmons has all world talent and generational type physical ability but he's also a very flawed basketball player. I know that all too well, i lived in Philadelphia. But you take the good with the bad.

No to Simmons. You're just bringing in Klutch into the situation and Simmons will eventually leave for LA or some other glitzy destination.

The Rockets will not get to keep their 2021 first-round pick unless it ends up inside the top four this year. The Thunder have the right to swap either the Heat or Clippers’ first-round pick for the Rockets’ first-round pick as long as it falls outside the top 4.

I mean, i'm going to trust you on this cause i have no knowledge on that subject, still, having him over Wall (and on a less big contract) would be much better for the team going forward, and you know it, how are we even debating this?

I haven't seen this part mentioned unless I overlooked it in other posts. This is more than likely true. No way is an actual future with Klutch staying with the rockets in the long run

but wall isn't being moved for simmons. no idea either

I just said with simmons you can say the same thing about the rockets future as you did with wall. Both are flawed and have their own flags

But again they aren't going to be traded for each other so there's no need to go much further haha

    Neither.

I'd rather sit Harden's ass on the bench the whole year and wait it out for a better player/package.

    ****in Simmons/Herro, SMDH.

I know, but you said we can be just as excited about having Simmons instead of Wall, i can't even think you really believe that when Simmons is 24, come on. At least with him we could see what he can do and have room to improve, none of that is possible with Wall at this point, that's all i'm saying.

This is actually the only (but not small i'd say) reason i'm a bit scared about getting Simmons, he's locked on a long deal and if we do all the right things he won't leave in 4 years, but still, him being a Klutch client eh, is a bit scary, you have to think Rich Paul might want him in LA with Davis once Lebron will be done.
