2 players who date more ig models than Harden. Both are great fits for the Houston strip club culture.

Ben Simmons new girl is Jasmine Rae (Lonzos ex)

    vs

Tyler Herro with Katya Henry (Kuzmas ex)

U know Jeff Hornysack is loving the idea of Herro and Robinson. We become the Jazz of the 90s.

Sorry but no, Simmons isn't 30 and coming back from two years of inactivity because of the worst injuries a player can suffer.

So, if you don't really like Simmons over Wall as a player that's fine i guess, but that Simmons would be a much better fit in any rebuild/retool process seems pretty obvious to me.

Simmons as your #1 player in the west isn't much to be excited about. They probably won't even make the playoffs with him as your lead guy.

Neither is Stone. Ain’t giving up Harden for a deal around Tyler Herro.

I'm not saying your opinion that he is a top 20 player is absurd, I just personally do not think he is because he is easy to shut down offensively because he cannot shoot.

Even if Simmons isn't the best fit he is easily a higher asset. Can always do a 3 way trade for a team that is more interested in Simmons to get something more valuable.

Without looking into any of their stats, Herro's ceiling is a less athletic, but better play making (prime) Ray Allen. Ben Simmon's ceiling is top 50 player of all time, a taller Jason Kidd..
I don't know if that's a good comparison or not, but seems fair

You can for sure build a top 5 defense around Simmons, 100%.

The question is, can you load up on enough shooters to accentuate is intelligence and tempo control, and live with him being a non-shooter. Christian Wood would appear to be the perfect C for Simmons.

I don't know, maybe he'll get better and become that player, maybe not, we'll see that eventually, still, you would have much more upside in buildig around him over Wall, how is that even debatable? You could also always bring a better player than Simmons to pair him up with if he's not that guy.

The question is why can't he shoot? Do you think it was lack of practice and if so why? Do you think he just learn to shoot the wrong way and never had anyone good enough to correct him, or do you think nobody really even pushed him to become a better shooter? It is just interesting that he can't shoot because its obvious that if he could he would be insane.

Is Embid available? Does it have to be a guard for a guard.

Those are good points. I just don't see the Rockets as a playoff team with Simmons or Herro in the short term. With that in mind, I would rather have a higher draft position and cap space. With the cap space I can sign a max free agent or I can take on expiring deals from other teams for additional picks.

My fear with Simmons is that the Rockets get left with a team that is mediocre over the long run, which is the worst place to be IMO.

We've had a generational talent for 8 years. If they didn't do it with harden, what makes us think they can do it with a worse player in simmons is my question
