That is such a weak argument. The flip side to that argument is that teams can concentrate on a player when he is the only decent player on that team.

Brand sees double teams every single night. Why? Because the opponent does not have to worry about anyone else.

It is harder to double Duncan because if you do you leave Robinson open. You can't double Robinson because Duncan will kill you.

A stat you need to look at with Brand is his F/G% which is 478 for the season. Not bad. I would say pretty good when you are the only one the other team has to worry about.

A much better example of how a suck ass player inflates his stats by being on a bad team is Jerry Stackhouse. He averaged 30 pts a game last year but his F/G% was only 400. That pretty much sucks. The moron jacked up almost 25 shots a game only making about 9 a game. His only saving grace was was that he went to the free throw line 10 times a game. He should send the NBA refs a nice gift.

Personally I would take Brand in a second.

    Over?

Still, he gets a lot of good looks. The "D" doesn't close in on him too much. As much as they run their offense through him, he has to get a lot of good looks. The difference between Brand and Stack is that Brand has shot-selection and Stack does not.
