He could have gone to the library to fill out online applications. I imagine it would be hard or impossible to do it on a mobile browser. He could have been on clutchfans with his phone, which explains the IP clutch saw. Not a smart way for someone broke to use money, but it would explain it.

He's clearly not the most logical person...nor does he have a clean past.

My concern is whether or not he scammed people into giving him money if he did not need it. My take is that if he truly was trying to steal from people, then he wouldnt give back the money he received. Because he gave back the money, my assumption is that his initial intentions were not to steal, despite all the sketchy details in the story.

People have posted that if he really needed the money, he would have kept it...but my guess is that if he kept it, then more people would be calling him a scam artist. Either way, he loses. However, in my eyes, it was very big of him to return the funds. I hope he gets the help he needs, whether its monetary or psychological.

I never give money to people who ask for it. If they are minding their own business and struggling, I'll give to them without thinking twice. If they ask, then no.

I think that's what Mr. Roger's father did...well, not sure of the not giving money to those who ask part, but dropping pennies and dimes to those unsuspecting. Pennies were more valuable back then. I've also heard of other people who do this.

Yeah it's the refusal to those asking that I don't understand. Rep for Mr. Rogers inclusion.

I threw some pennies at a homeless dude once. He wasn't real happy about it and eventually got arrested.

Every time I have checked the IP address when I have used a phone to access the Internet, it has been clear that I was using a mobile phone to post. (at least with Sprint).

Internet moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. Chick......chicka-chicka...

I recall him briefly flirting with Terrence impersonations using his current username in some GARM threads. I found it pretty amusing to be honest.
