I don't know this for a fact but it wouldn't surprise me if they actually did subcontract the management of their ad space to a private company. Even doing that though since it is still a public space I doubt they would have that much more power to censor content by arguing that it is privately managed.

And well deserved. Scum is the nicest word deserved by cretins like him. ATW is frequently criticized for being "anti-Muslim," but he almost always includes the caveat that he's talking about the extremists. And as we all know, or should, extremists exist on all sides, including, most definitely, the Israeli side. It's a great pity that Israel's political system allows small extremist parties influence all out of proportion to their numbers. And on the other side, extremists, often funded by powers like Iran, also have influence out of proportion to their numbers. My opinion is that majorities on both sides are moderate and simply wish for peace and the ability to live their lives without fear.

You don't understand the logic and there is nothing "perverse" about it.

I'm not talking about censoring anything; I'm talking about the government getting out of the speech business and leaving it to private citizens and organizations. Having government entities host forums of speech in which they must take a hands-off approach to content has probably been the most common way (besides the internet) for hate speech to proliferate.

I wouldn't be surprised if they subcontracted it, but they obviously haven't done it in a way to assert any free speech authority for the operator of the forum. I have to think it's possible to do -- television and radio operate on broadcasting licenses from the government and yet it is the broadcaster who ultimately holds the last word on content.
