    Hawks.....
    Big Al and picks???

    Knicks....
they have nothing for Rondo unless they're going to the lottery

    Mavs....
    Calderon and 3 mediocre picks??
Calderon and Monta and 3 mediocre picks an take back a contract or two??

    Pacers.....
Hill and Granger for Rondo and Bass???
Indy doesn't want to pay the tax so they most likely ain't gonna go there and take on more salary.

    Pistons.....
    Jennings and Monroe for Rondo,
then CV and Stuckey for at least 2 of Wallace/Bass/CLee,
    throw in some picks.

The Pistons deal could get interesting. It would leave BOS with max cap space to add a max FA in 14/15.

The others don't make much sense to me. Unless somebody sees something I don't.

In my opinion, if Ainge tries to trade Rondo (which I believe he is trying to do) he is looking for a deal that will make them a playoff contender with assets to continue to trade to upgrade. I seriously doubt Ainge wants to lose 50-60 games to have a 4% chance of getting Wiggins and have to worry about how good Wiggins becomes. That's not Ainge's mode of operation nor is it Boston's history.

If they trade Rondo...they have to get back a lead guard...a primary playmaker. Because if they trade Rondo away and don't get that back...they're still a lottery team. Somebody's got to bring the ball up and run the O from the top. So, they've got to get that PLUS other pieces that they can add to what they already have to be contenders like they have in previous years.

Not trading Horford for Rondo(or big for small).

    Mavs, yeah, basically trash.

Pacers still make the most sense.

Like Horford, not trading my bigs(Monroe and Drummond) for Rondo. You can have Stuckey or Villanueva or Jennings and even rookie KCP or a pick and I'll take back a bad contract(maybe two) with Rondo included.

    Before(current):
    Jennings/Billups/Bynum/Siva
    Stuckey/KCP
    Smith/Singler/Datome/Jerebko
    Monroe/Villanueva/Mitchell
    Drummond/Harrellson

    After:
    Rondo/Billups/Bynum/Siva
    Lee/KCP
    Singler/Datome/Jerebko
    Smith/Bass/Mitchell
    Drummond/Harrellson

It's okay I guess. I don't love it or really like it.

Boston gonna take back salary cap relief for Rondo??? One marginal prospect in KCP??

Don't see Boston accepting that. Do you?

They can have anyone on Detroit except Drummond or Monroe.

You're right though. From that perspective, what's in it for Boston to do that trade?

The Mavs were the first team I thought of, but what assets do they have that the Celtics would want?

mmmmmm...I think they could possibly get Monroe. He's coming up on restricted free agency. I think Boston could get about anyone but Drummond and Josh Smith.

So, Monroe, Jennings, KCP, and a couple picks. Plus possibly cap relief getting CV and Stuckey for Wallace and another contract.

There would be lots of interest around the league, but the Rockets would not be one of those teams.

Gasol for Rondo??? Boston still needs a playmaker. Gasol is older. Going to be a free agent. Could walk somewhere else. And Rondo clogs up LA's cap.

Now....possibly Nash and Gasol for Rondo and KHump??? Does that make sense for the Lakers???

Don't know. I get the feeling it doesn't. I really think Kobe and Gasol are the keys to getting 2 max free agents. LA can give them minimum deals and then re-up then after 15 with big money contracts to balance out them taking the minimum salary. Kobe has said he isn't doing that but if 2 big time players want to come here...he'll do it. He wants #6.

So personally I don't see the Lakers really being in the mix.

What about New Orleans? Doesn't Rondo live down there???

I would love to get Rondo on this team.

He's like Lin 2.0. Elite penetration, good defense, good passing, better handles

We can trade Asik + Lin + Picks to the Celtics

And Rondo would tell Mchale to fck himself when he tries to bench him:cool:

I don't think Rondo has a connection to New Orleans(I could be wrong) and I don't think that's a fit. Sure Rondo is better than the guards they have but they're pretty much set with Gordon, Evans, and Holiday (and their lesser guys, ha, in Pierre Jackson, Austin Rivers, and Brian Roberts).

Bobcats won't trade their pick. Not until and unless they into the lottery and come out with something less than the top pick. Then they may possibly deal it depending on who is going to be available where they pick. But they won't deal their pick...nor will any obvious lottery team (like Philly, Orlando, Phoenix, Sacramento, etc.) deal their pick until after the lottery and the pick order is established.

I'm talking about Rondo's trade value now..or at the latest by the trade deadline this season.

    One comment about Rondo.

He is a tremendous value non-rookie superstar contract out there. Because he makes way less than the max. He should be making $15-16 million. He's at less then $12 mil.

How about throwing out a curveball.... Golden State.

They have some assets and can add Rondo to be the playmaker/ball-handler and move Curry to the off-guard being able to spot up and run off screens to score rather than ever needing to handle. It's a small backcourt but Rondo can play some defense vs 2-guards, cross-matching on defense.

Interesting but I don't think they'd touch him. Curry, KT, and HB make up the best shooting perimeter trio in the NBA. Curry's the straw. And they've got Iggy now for the D and transition. They need to improve their bigs and they could win a title. Don't see them bringing in Rondo.

Pretty sure they are kicking themselves for trading the wrong guy.

But would you trade the lack of a 3 point shot for precision passing to DH12 at the rim?

    Wasn't Detroit interested in him?

Could they swing a deal for him?
