Trading for him doesnt hurt us. Even if all he does is sit on the bench, thats no different then the guys we would send for him. Thats why no way do we trade Luther for Pietrus. But Francis, Snyder, Novak or James would be fine. Of course the ideal guy being James to dump his remaining contract. Plus a guy like James could help GS. They need a backup PG, and James normally can shoot the three and his weak defense wouldnt be a big problem with their style of play.
Sign and trade is for Scottie Pippen, Rashard Lewis, etc. I'm pretty sure his sign and trade options at gettin 12 minutes per game are about one notch greater than Steve Novak's. Ice in the winter. His bird rights are worthless- accordingly his gracious offer to give them up isn't worth much.
he wants out of GS because he wants more minutes. all a guy like that would do here is either: A. replace a guy in the luneup and thus mix up chemistry. or B. be kept out of the rotation and continue to complain about minutes.
Guys... This is almost completely unrelated. But its New Years... So forgive me... But, GSW traded for B. Wright? They still have 8-10mil in salary exception right? Meaning they can land a huge complaining star at any moment? Uh oh...
I watch a lot of Warrior games, and the Rockets should not get Pietrus. The guy is a knucklehead and for every 3 ponter made, or nice finish at the rim, he makes about 3 or 4 idiot plays, stupid foul, terrible turnover or the like. While a Battier creates a few extra possessions a game, Pietrus is the type of guy that loses you a few extra possessions, I do not want!
