I voted no. I don't think its fair game to mention anything you say online in public to a person. Unless it is trivial stuff like opinions of sports, movies, music, etc...
Interesting question. I believe Hayesfan and ima_drummer2k hit the nail on the head. Even though this is a public forum, at times I believe we can be a little more loose with certain subjects due to the perceived anonymity of the board. In general I don't post too much info about myself anywhere that I don't mind being out in the open, but it might be a little weird if some random person came up to me and started conversing about my personal stuff when I don't know **** about them.
I'm sure me and pgabriel could share a beer and laugh about steve's deficiencies I think the ball game and BBQ at HeyPs was a great example of it working, there certainly was some great heckling, some of which related to people's points of view they raised on the board, but in general people just interacted with real people and there real personalities with occasional mentions of online backgrounds........
I said, "no," but just because I think the person who brought it up online should bring it up first in real life. But I don't really know. Maybe it depends on the topic?
i said fair game at first, but if you bring up my fart thread in person..... thats just kind of weird...
