They don't need to tell me what 'tradition' they were referring to. When Moses helped Dream out at Fonde, when Calvin helps players shoot free throws, whenever you hear Gene Peterson call a game. When Rudy T tells what he thinks about non believers. When Kenny talks on TNT about his days with the Rockets. When you see red and gold in the city of Houston. Whenever they show that 86 game at the Forum against the Lakers. When they play "we will rock you", when you drive down Westheimer and you remember when people were honking horns all night, when they build a church on sacred land. They don't need to us what tradition is. we know.
Les?? Is that you??? If it is, can you please kick Aramark out and bring back Pappa's Seafood and Pappasito's to the arena? Thanks in advance.
well i wouldn't count 2 yrs as winning it almost every year. I was refering to a team that won it every year and was in existence for 5 years. that would be 5 out of 5, the marlins are 2 out of 15.
I already said the tradition thing is being a bit picky because it's usually understood, you know, i know, everyone knows whatg they mean. Tradition wasn't the point of the discussion it's just what you brought it and it didn't go with your original statement that started this whole argument. Technically you're still speaking about history, but OK.
Yeah two championships is pathetic when you compare it to all those other championships that the other Houston pro sports teams have won.
Everything is history, I ate sandwich today at lunch, its history. yesterday I had fresh ramen at this japanese place, it was good. its history.
I'm not a Rockets' fan because they have won championships or because the have a tradition or not. I am a Rockets fan because when I was young and they brought be a great experience and I was able to go to the games with my dad. I'll always be a Rockets fan no matter how much they win or lose...and I am a fan of any player who dons the Rockets uniform.
And? you're not bringing anything new to the discussion, that was my point all along, history is one thing, tradition is another. Is your sandwich tradition?? Only if you eat it every day, or every tuesday, etc. That's the difference, The way you've been using the word tradition, you're pretty much saying the sandwich is tradition when you've only eaten it 10 times your whole life.
a person can always have a point when they take things out of context. We're talking about the NBA, comparing it to other NBA teams, obviously if you're speaking about Houston sports then point of view changes. The two rings are cherished by everyone, just like the dynamo were celebrated when they won.
