By the way, your persistent stalking of tinman is almost, but not quite as pathetic as trying to pass off myspace teenagers as your wife to impress people on the internet.

The point still stands. The Rockets didn't play in San Diego all that long. The Lakers were already a dynasty in Minnesota.

Not quite twice as long, here's your fun facts for the day:

    Baseball - 1845
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_was_the_year_that_baseball_started - what's funny about this is the team's name mentioned here is New York Knickerbockers, which is now, of course a basketball team

Basketball - 1891 (We owe allegiance to James Naismith)

I agree, that would be pathetic. Good thing I never did it.

Dude says pics or GTFO, I laugh and post a pic of a p*rn skank. Internet superhero tries to make a gigantic schrade out of nothing. It really isn't that hard to understand.

Let me know if you aren't 'impressed', because it's really a burning desire of mine to 'impress' you.

lol, again, don't flatter yourself. I could care less about your daily trip down memory lane, but you are a little pretentious when you try to act as if people here have no idea what happened in 1993/94.

School away if you must, but calling other people a 'b****' just because they disagree with you? Awesome. If you are 12.

I also like how you make a thread saying 'do you cheer for the
    R-O-C-K-E-T-S?'

but you crap on Tracy McGrady like he's still in Orlando.

his pathetic "persistent stalking" stands in sharp contrast to your awesome persistent defending/speaking for the intern historian tinman (whose historical education of the Rockets didn't include the start in San Diego, in which the likes of Pat Riley and our beloved Adelman were drafted)..

like seriously, why is pissing people off considered a pastime? these guys could be 14, it's not their job to "get educated" and it's not your job to "educate" them for god's sake.. I mean, did your parents scold you for idolizing Calvin and Rudy T and not having enough appreciation for drafting of Pat Riley in the first round by the San Diego Rockets, you know, the team that you weren't aware it once existed?

people need to grow up and stop killing bandwidth for pointless attacks on others, whether they're ignorant, stupid, or "unappreciative of history" .. it's not that hard, just don't do it.. and while we're at it, let's also have the weirdos that post a thread about "me no woryz Ming will destroy all" everytime the mood strikes.. get a grip guys, and let's try to have an educated conversation concerning our beloved Rockets as they are now, not about the wingspan of Elvin Hayes and the wicked stache of Calvin Murphy..

Yes I do know the Rockets were in San Diego, I just forgot and you got me for it.

It's not like there are a thousand threads on what's going on now. And if you know why this thread is created is that Tmac fans throw the entire Rockets organization and fans under the bus for criticizing him for what he's done this season.

So Orlando fans were boing Tmac and wanted him out, were they not Orlando fans?

Some people on the other thread think there is no tradition on the Rockets. that's incorrect. I guess some people measure tradition by the Lakers and Celtics. True they have tradition, but 41 years + is along time.

Regardless if I forgot they started in San Diego or not.

Two championships is nothing to sneeze at. There's franchises that would kill to even get one.

What's more relevant is what the recent history of the Rockets is. When I think championship Rockets I think of gritty professionals like Hakeem, Clyde, Mad Max, Horry, Cassell and of course Rudy T. T-Mac's a disgrace to the memory of those guys.

I also always think of how Rudy T. nearly got killed by Kermit What's-His-Name, which has resulted in his being blackballed from any sort of NBA coaching position.

stop confusing my words! tradition does not equal history. history is the past, whether its 3 years or 300. Tradition IS NOT simply what's in the past. It has to be a pattern, something that happens often, it can't just be labeled tradition because its history. Whether its rich or not depends on the content of it.
