I like the fact some are enraged and pissed about this. IT IS THE AIR FORCE PEOPLE! I have been in the AF for 5+ years. We let B-52's fly cross country loaded with Nukes. We have people guarding the most secure area's in this country......get caught sleeping during random inspections. This is how we roll. It happens. Get over it! Plus, if you ask me.......i think the photo shoot went pretty rough. Those pics will look like crap. AF1 was way too high over the city. Next time they need to bring it in closer.

Do people honestly think that every freaking photo-op or flight schedule for Air Force I goes through presidential approval? I mean, I think OBama has better things to do and worry about. Obama's fault is for appointing someone so callous to the post. That's his fault. But the actual incident? C'mon - no one is pointing a finger at Obama, not in nyc at least. People know it's not him but the stupidity of someone else.
The presidential plane is not a joyride means of transportation. This is HIS plane. It takes a lot of bureaucracy to move that plane. He may not know where it is every second of the day, but if my personal transportation was being taken out for a joy ride, I would want to know. For him to get up there and say, "I didn't know" made him look pretty weak. His lack of taking responsibility further exposes what kind of person he is.
Actually, there are two planes that serve as Air Force One. By the way, what happened to all the criticism that Obama was distracting himself from the economy by signing an executive order reversing Bush's stem-cell funding ban? That probably took, what, like five minutes? Now, all of a sudden he's supposed to be keeping track of every government photo shoot? It doesn't even seem worth debunking, since no one should ever be stupid enough to actually believe that.

Others have pointed out the stupidity of this analogy. But let me also point that you're missing the parts where Bush is praising the head of FEMA and telling him he was doing a heck of a job. There is no parallel here. It's also funny how you went from, "I don't think Obama knew about it" to comparing him to Bush who definitely knew about Katrina.
