no, but at the time it seemed like a head-scratcher of a pick, at least to me, insofar as Billy Miller was barely passable at the TE spot, the Texans had multiple other needs and there were highly rated players on the board who turned out to be pretty good (several OL who will be starting this weekend in the playoffs, for example). Also, wasn't Joppru damaged goods before?
I just think it is hilarious that The Cat will owe me 100 dollars as soon as Hollings is out of the league.
Don't hate on Tony Hollings. He is from Twiggs county Georgia which is the county right next to me. I support local guys. Look out for Chansi Stuckey from Clemson next year. I went to high school with him and he had a good year this year. Actually I guess I don't considering I hate John Rocker and Kevin Brown and they are both from middle Georgia.
Like I said in another thread, Colts fans thought Capers and the Texans were stupid for choosing Vic Fangio as DC. I heard an exerpt of Gary Walker this morning on the radio that was scathing. Casserly has definitely made mistakes but coaching is the main problem with the Texans. I don't think there is any argument.
No, that was the crazy thing about all this. Joppru didn't have any kind of injury history in college similar to what he has undergone in the pros. Just flukey bad luck, it seems.
Who cares? schemes on defense or offense ... The point is that Casserly has drafted/traded for a bunch of complete dogs with high round picks for four years and it's scary to think it might continue. Raven Lunatic: my bad on that one, I must have been thinking of somebody else.
