I would hope that the Rockets organization is doing something about this sort of action, even though it is only the Summer Leagues, but his fire is exactly the type I want to see on the Rockets. I want to see him on the court busting down guys like Shaq Nowitzki KG Boozer and Duncan. These are the type of guys that slams one home to make the crowd go wild when things aren't going the way we want them or top off a run. He is the type of player I think that will tell the Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and Wades if you try to come in here I will give you a bruising to remember or I hope you enjoy the rest of the season sitting on the bench watching with an injury. I think he has the ability to finish better than hayes because of his athletic ability to dunk and if he has the defensive mind and tenacity that Mutombo then just WoW. For a guy who is only 6'7, like Rodman he definitely has worked his butt off to get to where he is. I would hope this sort of thing does not happen during the playoffs or regular season though. Good to see him sticking up for our boys but hopefully our coaching staff will show him other ways to do such things. Bruise them on the court instead of yapping and costing a game.

The most exciting moment in the NBA(other than the Rockets winning the championships.)

I wish we could give him that much credit!

Rodman just needed hugs from his mommy. Dorsey isn't doomed after summer league. He'll be fine, amateur psychologists.

He'll even rebound like a chick with daddy issues! He'll get balls and they'll regret it. (Shakessssss)

Ah, I see I've run into the resident internet bully; grow up.

His actions now clearly show he might be a detriment to this team in the regular season. Acting tough =/= acting stupid.

I'm glad that he is willing to get his hands dirty and stick up for his teammates. We need a guy like that on the team...not a bunch of them, but every team needs one and we have him now. He just needs to be smarter about it in the future, but guys will think twice about body slamming Yao to the ground or flagarant fouling T-Mac *cough* Desmond Mason*cough* while he is in the air if they know they have to answer to somebody about it other than Rafer Alston.

i think rockets have a rule that you need to make 10 consecutive FTs in order to end practice. Imagine Dorsey doing so.
Anyone want to calculate how many trials are needed so that Dorsey has > 50% chance of making 10 in a row? The math is a bit complicated...

That is actually a pretty simple math calculation. I forgot what % he shot in college, but let's assume it's 38%.

    Chance of making 10 straight free throws: 38% ^ 10 = 0.006278%
    Number of trials needed to have more than a 50% chance = 50% / 0.006278% = 7,964 trials

That was only under JVG, which is why the team kinda sucked at free throws last year.

Based on his FT%=0.222 in the summer league, he need take 3,439,301 shots to make 10 consecutive FTs. If he could shot in every 6 seconds, it will take him 238 days to make those shots. Good luck to him! :)
    Math doesn't lie.

Shooting in practice is very different than game situation. I bet Dorsey could hit 10 in a row in less than an hour. Okay, maybe 2 hours.

If you are such a good statistician you should know that there is not near a big enough sample to base such opinions off of. Maybe he's a bad FT shooter, but if he was really THAT bad he would never have gotten drafted. Even Shaq was never that bad.

Heh... my bad. Just red the rest of the thread and realized you were talking about something completely different. My point still stands but you guys weren't talking about that.
