Calm down. At least it shows some competitive fire, something this team lacks. I'm sure the coaches will set him straight if they have not already addressed the matter. I'm sure when the games finally do mean something he'll know better.

With all due respect.....Are you serious?..We are not building the 2003 Texans here..."character guys"..We have good guys like Yao and Shane., but if you noticed in the playoffs ...if you watched....the physicality and verocity of the boozers of the world hurt us. We need someone that can be an intimadator and back Yao up so ..........JOEY DORSEY IS OUR MAN....

i watched the whole game and i actually liked what he did ...as long as its summer league

Tracy McGrady would be ashamed of your screen name..

    Welcome to 2008 OP.

Did you see where the Celtics won the NBA championship?

If you're seriously going to make a thread about this bull****, then you're going to get a serious response...

You are a complete idiot if you seriously think a summer league game should determine the fate of a player that we have drafted and have a reasonable investment in our future. RON ARTEST? Hi there, I watch the NBA my friend, and I guess you don't so you didn't see his BRAWL where he was SUSPENDED for an entire season.

Don't make r****ded posts like this please. Just demote the guy to Rookie, like me, I'm a rookie, but at least I'm not stupid enough to make a thread like this.

    ILU ;)

How does this team lack competitive fire? For two years now we've busted our asses to stay in contention with our best player injured. Finding a way to win when we're the underdog def. shows that the Rockets have some competitive fire.

How many players can you honestly say could lose the game for their team (regardless of the fact that it's summer league) when they aren't in uniform. A rookie nonetheless.

What is this? Is there a anti-Dorsey bandwagon going on or something? Who's your leader??? PopRocks?

Why is Dorsey generating so much hate on this board? Everything he did ON the court has been positive so far, and has exceeded my expectation in just those two games.

It's pretty ironic... When we drafted this guy, Morey said that he'll be a fan favorite. Guessed that back-fired, huh?

Joey Dorsey is dead to me! DEAD, YOU HEAR ME?!? DEAD! We would have won that game! Our whole season is ruined! Woaaaah is me, wooooah is me.

    P.S. At least he cares.
P.P.S. In other news, we landed on the moon.

Yeah, an UNPROVEN ROOKIE is our man because he can lose a game for us FROM THE BENCH. You're not being tough when you are threatening the other team's coach - you're just being stupid.
Yes, I think it should. This guy is prone to making bone headed mistakes like this based on his history. He's clearly not going to change his ways (a la Marcus or Sean Williams) in the league.

Supporting a player who is HURTING THE TEAM with NO EXCUSE whatsoever is something a rookie would do.

And to think I almost didn't read this thread. Very enjoyable to see people stick up for Joey they way he stood up for his teammates.

Your getting slammed TM but you probably didn't watch the game and see the reality of it. Dorsey's mistake cost us but the new ref was the real idiot. The coaches didn't make a big deal of it so why should you.

    Actually...

that video made me like Dorsey even more. He barks, and this current roster can use that.

We'll see if his bite is as big as his bark during the regular season though.

For now, he earned points from me.

Also, that whistle was a little over dramatic. It's the summer league.

And Ron Artest fought fans in the stands. I think that qualifies as worse than a summer league technical foul.

When he pulls this crap in the middle of the season it will be relevant. The summer league is when you being to gauge your rookies and for someone suspect like Dorsey isn't an exception.

Whoever that was that posted the Artest video, you realize Dorsey HAS indeed already gotten in a fight with a fan during a game (in college). He still hasn't grown up apparently.

I agree 100% we should protest the capitol building! Let them know at the White House that we won't allow this sort of thing on the Rockets!

The only time we've won a decent amount of games without our best player, has been this year and it has been the ROOKIES Scola and Landry that made the difference imho. Yea we compete when were the underdogs but alot of the times I seem to notice the team just give up like we never had a chance (06-07 season) even our best player has coasted through a game like he's not even trying. Not to hate on T-Mac or anything but he certainly lacks some competitive fire. I don't care about Dorsey losing us a SUMMER LEAGUE game, which is probably no much different than a game at Fonde. Let's wait until the season starts until we decide what type of person/player he is.

If he had gone into the stands after a fan, I would worry. Or, if he repeats the same thing during the pre-season. Basically, I think you're over-reacting, but I'd like to know more about his fight with the fan in college.

Now I get it. It all makes perfect sense. You are afraid!... Afraid Dorsey will one day run into the stands and b****slap you. That is a natural instinct Mackie Boy but don't worry... Okay maybe after this thread, BE AFRAID!
