Rockets were ahead by 3 points with about 6 seconds left. Dorsey was in street clothes and the referee T'd him for trash talking with the other team. Point was made, lead reduced to 2 and then other team hits a 3 and the Rockets lose by 1. What made me upset was that Dorsey was still back talking and smiling as he left the bench; he was told to leave the gym by the referee. However, he's a talent that we need on hte team and if he doesn;t demonstrate that he got the message Tracy and other teammates will see that he gets it. For those of us who did not see the game, thanks for telling us what happened in detail. I am sure the coaches will talk to Dorsey about controlling himself and not give the other team a trip to the free throw line. Hopefully he will maintain his toughness for the regular season.
Id rather have him make a mistake in a pointless summer league game and fix it instead of him doing it in a real game. At least we know what Dorsey does and at least we know that he wants to be on the court proving himself
I hope he will be fit for tonight. I hope he and the rest of the team will do well against the Kings.
Sorry to nitpick here,Joey's tech helped the Wizards tie the game in regulation,and they overran us in OT for a 80-75. The behavior that you described is absolutely correct. I hope the senior guys will help to straighten him out too.
The earlier one learns from one's mistakes the better it is,but it's not to late for him to learn now. I have no idea how he is going to react in the regular season but I hope he will learn from his mistakes.
I support trash talking and even a little extra "physical play". Hopefully, Dorsey trash talks and kicks some ass literally during the regular season. Rockets are a team full of nice guys, they need an enforcer.
I didn't see what happened to get so worked up about. I kind of like the fact he's stickin up for his teammate. I like that Rafer is there too.
Rafer is a puss in boots (or brightly colored polo, whatever). He'll get his ass kicked in any fight in the NBA, except maybe against Damon Jones (is that b**** still in the league?!), in which case they'll taunt each other for 12 rounds until both get bored.
