Was out chasing big breasted blondes but this is an interesting thread lol. It all counts in the end.
lol the scales just tipped a little more against Dorsey. He is a BAAAADDMANNN and makes me Pee my Pants. hahahaha
So, it's Dorsey (who wasn't even playing) who should be blamed that the team couldn't score one more basket to win the game? Seriously. It's a team game. The team includes everyone on your bench, too.
This forum sure is quick to jump either which way. Dorsey dunks and rebounds >>> OMG LONG TERM CONTRACT KELVIN CATO STYLE! Gets ejected off bench for SUMMER LEAGUE GAME >>> TRADE HIS ASS!!!
Which is why I don't read this forum unless something major happens. (Anymore, I stick to the Texans, Astros, etc. or the Hangout) I mean, seriously, we were up two points after all this was said and done in a SUMMER LEAGUE game. They got a lucky tip in to send it into overtime, and we lost. So, you're blaming our loss on something that happened five minutes BEFORE the end of the game? Brilliant. Yes, maybe someone should be saying something about it in the game thread. Maybe it deserves it's own thread, but not calling the kid an idiot. The true idiocy lies in the original poster.
Some of us are just joking. We know that it was up to the players on the floor to get the job done. I know I put up a mad face in one of my posts but I wasn't upset. Summer League is an important learning experience. The OP shouldn't have called Dorsey an idiot, that was totally uncalled for.
Exactly. Learning experience. Doesn't make the kid an idiot. It is easy to see that a lot of people are joking, but the thread wasn't originally intended as a joke.
au contraire mon frere, the powers that be are evaluating everything prior to the season starting. And by everything...I mean everything. Those roster spots are precious and are given only to the most deserving.
Reminds me of when Bob Sura tackled Stackhouse I think in Playoffs '05 for a hard foul on the other end. Joey tackled him with words! We need someone like that, someone to provide toughness, a don't-f***-with-my-team attitude. Joey Dorsey
Ive been a Rockets fan for a long time. Rookies rarely make an impact. They shouldn't even warrant threads. nuff said
Oui Monsieur,no doubt they are looking at everything and roster spots are precious but I would be very surprised if Dorsey wouldn't be signed to a guaranteed contract unless he blew up and did something very serious.
in recent memory, the rockets have had some rookies step into the rotation. im not sure how you define "impact" but i consider it to be playing in the rotation or more. we won't count scola as a rookie but landry, brooks, hayes, head, yao, griffin, francis, k9, dickerson, mobley, othella, cassell, and horry all saw 12mpg or more as a rookie. since horry was drafted in '92 (17 years ago) the rockets have had 13 rookies make an impact. now you said you were a fan for a long time, and before '92 the rockets luck in the draft has a far worse average. of course, there have been blunders in recent years as well. turkan, drew, boki, etc. boki turned out ok but the rockets passed on some much better players. in fact... not to make fun of such situations, but to be fair to both sides of the argument... two of the rockets lotto picks in the past 10 years aren't even alive right now (griffin, collier) so all in all you usually remember the blunders but forget that a guy like othella harrington played 15mpg, or chuck hayes played 13mpg. each giving a decent point/rebound total.
lol Rafer looked like he wanted to fight but they shouldn't have T'd Dorsey, that was ridiculous. That must have been embarrassing too, getting a technical in a summer league game.
