[reply deleted for being too hateful towards Draymond] [who after all might be the same species as me -- can't really vouch for either one of us]
I don’t see Jalen Green on the ballot, did the NBA not get the memo that he is our actual core and only untouchable player?
Can we actually lock this thread? I don’t trust my willpower to not keep bumping this turd, especially when OP took my ability to start threads for reasons you can only guess, what better thread to post in if not this one? Imagine when the day comes when actual core is coming off the actual bench or better yet getting his actual untouchable ass shipped to another team.
It's funny to see this get bumped by the same two agenda-driven people all the time. Guys, this thread is from the 2021 season, Jalen's rookie year. There's nothing in here that I'm uncomfortable having said at the time. Honestly, nothing. Jalen has been brutal and certainly has not progressed in nearly three seasons. I said very clearly then there is no guarantee that Jalen is a special player, but you can bet the Rockets drafted him over Evan Mobley because they felt he was/would be. He was untouchable and considered to be their future. I also said KPJ and Sengun would be closer and could play their way to that. I don't know what to tell you to make you feel better, but they didn't view him as that. Just look at this organization's history since then and tell me they locked in Sengun as core in his rookie season. This thread at the time was in reference to ALL those players being called "core" and they were not. Take a look at the list... Christian Wood, KPJ, KJ Martin, Josh Christopher, Daishen Nix, Usman Garuba are all gone today. But it's the hypocrisy here by these two that's astounding. Here is @AroundTheWorld saying Jalen Green will be an "absolute superstar" and has "future scoring champion written all over him." His history is littered with posts calling him "core". So why has he been stalking me daily for months on the forums and live streams and keep posting this as some sort of "gotcha" when he was adamant that he was core also? Because of Sengun? Cool, you had Sengun as core -- you also insisted JGup, Garuba and KJM were locked in core also, brother. As for @CXbby , for those who don't know the history -- this is a one-sided personal beef for him that goes back to his Jeremy Lin takes that did not age well. I was the "Lin Hater" to him. But dude... this is him 5 months after this post and not a thing is taken out of context: So let me get this straight: Before the 2022 draft, he would hesitate to call Alperen Sengun core but would list Jalen Green as "untouchable"? That's the exact thing he's mocking me for saying. You guys are not basketball savants. You're just trolls. Sit down.
Damn Clutch just called ATW out for being a weird dork Devastating I for one, was the FIRST poster to say Jalen has a broke dick. I'll accept my flowers.
JGreen is still an important piece of the young core. He is an exceptional athlete, just needs better coaching/mentoring. Rockets is a grinding machine, wasted 3 FRPs recently. The biggest problem of the organization is not having proper coaching staff. JGreen had to work with S.Silas/Jeff Hornacek/Lucas/Lionel "sleepy" Hollins,.. None of them helped him to improve. G-League seems a kind of circus, even MVP was not offered a contract (I do not remember the name, might be trevor/trevelyan, something like that).JGreen spent a year there also, a hollow year. Alp was lucky to be coached properly in Giresun,Banvit,Besiktas and most importantly at the national team (U-15,U17,U18). His coach at the main national team is Ergin Ataman who won nearly everything in European basketball, his assistants included Memo Okur, former Jazz and all-star. Rockets helped Alp to work with all-time great Hakeem also. Alp additionay hired a personal Serbian trainer. Good move. JGreen did not have this opportunities. I have never heard that Rockets asked TMac, Vince Carter type of players to work with Jalen. All he had was KPJ, a dominant figure who likely convinced JGreen to become deputy Head Honcho. Not good. Rockets org has to help JGreen to flourish. He can easily to become the best scorer in this team. Alp will help him in scoring side. As Alp/Tari/Bari/Amen are very good rebounders and FVV and Sengun may assist a lot the only thing JGreen is to score, score, score. He can do it. The current coaching staff seems not very helpful to JGreen. As Udoka is a relatively less experienced HC and having generally younger staff, some elders/insiders have to initiate the process.
Too hateful towards Draymond? He's one of the few players who I wouldn't feel bad for if they suffered a career ending injury. He is a despicable person
Hey Chief, no one cares if you have a bad take, you are the one who self professed would have drafted Harold Miner over Robert Horry and can laugh about it after. I am the one who compared Marcus Morris to Carmelo Anthony. No we are not basketball savants, and anyone who is brave enough to state their opinions on an internet forum is going to have a long history of bad takes. No one is blaming you for that. What you are getting bumped for is the pettiness and hypocrisy you have shown since that original bad take when you bemoaned the Rockets for taking him on draft night. You had no problems raking the organization over the coals for their decisions over KPJ (rightfully so), but then ate up whatever they spewed about Sengun (not part of the core, trade bait, lazy/out of shape coming into the season, “lob threat”, worst pick and roll defender in the league). Did it not occur to you that the same people saying these things were also the ones trying to bury all the skeletons about KPJ and build the team around him? But worse yet, now that an actual adult is in the room, an actual basketball mind, the team is being run through Sengun and he has blossomed in to the star that all of us idiot Sengun fans thought he would. Yet you, a presumed life long Rocket fan, has chosen to post more of his defensive lowlights on twitter than anything about celebrating the first allstar season since Harden. Talk about agenda-driven! I mean if you think it’s really just the two of us then you must have a blind spot, because ANYONE across this forum and social media can see your bias. But hey it’s a free country, you can root for or against anyone you want to. But as the biggest rockets fan you are going to invite scrutiny when you are so obviously biased against the rocket’s franchise player, that’s just going to come with the territory. Also I have no idea what you are talking about with the Jeremy Lin thing. If you can find a single post where I disrespected you before this season when Sengun has made a fool out of many, I’d love for you to point it out. You must be thinking of someone else. I was a contributing member to this site, and now I can’t even post threads, all because someone can’t get over one bad take.
I hardly have any posts that even address you, Clutch, besides the Sengun ones. I have no idea where you are getting this secret beef between us from, and I had no idea you had an agenda against me all these years. Does this sound like someone that has something against you?
You guys should just let it go, the only person on here that is right all the time and has zero bad takes is Bobby. DD
Always someone else's fault with Green. Peculiar, why he is the only young guy on this roster who fails to improve. All the others have done it with much fewer chances or green lights.
I don’t want to make this negative, because it is not. It is all in good fun. Clutchfans is the best and I think If we were to all talk in person, we’d have a blast. That said, I’ll take agenda driven fanatics that are cheering for their homegrown rookies all day, everyday. Alperen was drafted by the HOUSTON ROCKETS, after all, and he is a complete STUD. Hell yeah I am defensive about my guys. So… How about we NOT drop our newly drafted rookies into every damn trade machine, while plastering anonymous insider Silas scoops about their alleged practice habits and defense on the front-page of Clutchfans? Also, can we not get an all-star game retweet from our biggest voice, for our best player? He was drafted by HOUSTON (Still Tippin…) and he is going to be here for a long time, I promise.
I appreciate your stand against trolls...However, you also need to recognize other tasteless trolls and their endless mocking of Alpi fans with their own agenda... What @Os Trigonum said about Kobe: ↑"giving new meaning to the term, necrobump" Is that where we stand as Rockets nation?
