I'm enjoying the Warriors plunge to irrelevance as much as anyone. I hope they stay intact and everyone goes down in flames together. I want Draymond to hit (but not injure) somebody else in a fit of rage shortly after he returns.

There are many definitions of what a core is but in this thread we can only go by what the OP defined it as: the “untouchable player” that the team “builds around”. The only player that fits that definition is still Sengun.

True, but it is really just another rebuild......with probably glasses of a Rocket fan on.....very normal rebuild.

I think Bari deserves that 23rd spot over Jalen.

I'm taking Sengun over Lamelo, Barnes, and Paolo.

I have a feeling Paolo has another 2 Gears to go.....but it is going to be close....Paolo is in the East so will feast more in the future.

Then it will come down to who shoots more accurate jumpers and three balls...

Sengun should be #4 and argument should be made between him, Edwards and Hali at #2.

    THE NUMBERS ARE CLEAR!! :D

The only players in this TOP 10 list that stand out from where they were drafted are Maxey & Alpi !!
I don't count Haliburton since he was pretty close to being a top 10 pick.

    1.) Luka Doncic............ 3rd pick
    2.) Anthony Edwards.... 1st pick
    3.) Tyrese Haliburton.... 12th pick
    4.) Ja Morant................ 2ndpick
    5.) Tyrese Maxey.......... 21st pick
    6.) Chet Holgrem.......... 2nd pick
    7.) LaMelo Ball............. 3rd pick
    8.) Scottie Barnes........ 4th pick
    9.) Paolo Banchero...... 1st pick
    10.) Alperen Sengun.... 16th pick

    Go Rockets!!!

I'd just rather have a player like Sengun at Center than a Point Forward like Paolo. I certainly could be wrong about that, but I feel like Sengun presents more ways to build a team.

It's a shame that Silas wasted the first few years of Sengun's career as he could have been even more dominant than he currently is.

Sengün is more fun to watch but Bullyball is like a cheat code in this league, it works every time and you do not break a sweat doing so....

Guys like Antetokounmpo and Lebron Freight Train James are masters of it.

Once Paolo realizes he can just use his strength and body to get what he wants every time 2x on Sundays, it is mostly Game Over for a lot of opponents.

Now he is still dribbling too much, he needs Fultz to feed him more....

    He is listed at 250-260....

You are not wrong about this. Huge issue for the league, basically impossible to play defense. But you're right.

Paolo and Sengun are going to run the league, I'd only take Luka, Haliburton and Edwards over those 2

Sengun should be no. 2 behind Doncic.

And he can eventually overtake Doncic as well, based hopefully on the Rockets winning a championship before Dallas does.

I think this list underrates Franz Wagner and Jalen Williams (and probably wemby, but that's another story) - they are multifaceted but extremely "fittable" in any scheme because they can shoot and defend as well as handle the ball and districute - but they weren't ever considered as #1 picks so they get devalued. I mean any list that has Jalen Williams 3 spots below Cade is a joke.

At some poitn you have to put away the draft preview.

Yes. They really need to crack down on offensive players leaning in with their shoulders to initiate contact. Giannis and James are the worst. But it’s the NBA so don’t expect them to do sh*t.
