I rather we do what the thunder are doing and start benching our talent to lose games, beating the warriors should be the goal and we need victor. Creating the next dynasty should be the goal.
Core pieces: #3 Green (hopefully becomes a better go to scorer) Sengun (playmaker) Christopher (something tells me he is going to be so much better next season as a 6th man) All they are missing is a big man similar to Looney to come off the bench when needed and experienced vets who mold and guide the core players.
not really. kids literally don't win that early in this league. That's why i laugh at all the folks thinking the rockets are turning into a playoff team in an instant. that's not how it works in reality. Jalen could progress but obviously he can't win games on his own and everyone on this team is still learning how to win. Guys around him have to progress as well, otherwise Jalen's progression gets even more limited when it comes to winning. That doesn't happen overnight and takes years
Seriously. Our core is full of 19-22 year olds. I would be really surprised if this team cracks 30 wins next season.
It's shaping up that way. Pro: Wemby sweepstakes Con: rain cloud over that end of 2022-23 timeline. Rockets kept lot of options open, but the free agents one. Those guys don't necessarily like coming to bottom teams. Mid teams maybe, but not bottom. Fans enduring more losses. Neutral: depends if you like/dislike Silas. If a 3rd losing season, Silas era might come to end.
There is going to be a lot of tanking next season. When it comes down to who has the worst 19-22 year olds, it may be difficult for the Rockets not to win.
Does anyone know if Jalen will be changing his number to 4 this year? I may buy my first jersey in 2 decades. I assume he couldnt change it mid season due to league rules, and House is gone. I still can't believe what a bum House was, he should have known he would likely be traded and given the rookie his number. It would have been a different story if he was someone who had been on the team for several years and was not likely to be traded.
I am 100% ok with us losing next year, Wemby is the goal, I just want us to be bottom 3. we can win a bit more then last year but bottom 3 is the goal.
We are not getting Wemby - we have had the worst record 2 years and didn't get the top pick either of those......we need to play to win with the young guys and see where that leads. I want Silas to step up and hold them accountable......do some actual coaching this year. DD
Oh, I don't think we'd be a playoff team by any means, but I'd be a little concerned if we don't start showing some improvement. Assuming the Jazz blow it up, I'd expect us to be better than them and the Magic. Maybe New York and Washington as well depending on what they do in the offseason.
jazz aren't blowing it up. They might trade Gobert from what we've heard so far but that's not exactly a bad thing. NY will still have a better record than Hou next year. Wash, I have no clue what theyre doing. That will depend on Beal obviously. Magic is a toss up
they know the rockets will be one of the worst teams next year and they're 100% right. everything said is spot on
You are the most pessimistic person on this board. If you hate the Rockets so much why are you even here. You are my first person to put on ignore. What a jerk!
So i can continue to laugh at the worst owner in the league like ive always said since he destroyed the organization To the last part who cares, no idea why you felt the need to make some announcement like it matters. don't quote me then to reply. You did that to yourself
A 14% chance at a guy like that is the highest chance we are going to get for prob at least 8 years. Miss out on him and we get a better prospect than anyone in this draft (+14% Scoot) and if we miss out then it's not like the next few guys will be scrubs (Amen Thompson already seems like some freak athlete) . Trading Wood for 26th pick should be some clear indication that Rockets feel Wemby or Scoot are worth those odds.
