One of KPJ, Christopher or Nix

Need to sign a 3&D wing and draft a 4/5. We’re good, Moreyball will take care of the role players.

We should package all of our young players for a star and the spend the next decade refusing to surround him with talent.

The problem with this thread, it's 2 years too early. You are asking to us to judge teenagers playing on the worst team in basketball, with likely the worst coaching and development staff coaching/developing them. Not to mention they are wasting nearly $75M in bad salary on 3 players that are taking away valuable playing time and development from those teenagers. I think you have some nice pieces in the 2021 draft class, Porter (though he's not a PG on a playoff team, he would be a good wing), Martin, and Fernando (though Silas apparently hates him).

I think you need to sign a vet PG to get the young guys better and more consistent shots in prime scoring positions, and then evaluate next off-season. Hopefully after you make a strong push for the play-in games.

Westbrook has a lot of points and assists too, you want him as a guy running offense? nobody is denying KPJs talents but he is not suited to be running team offense and its not something you learn at this age (hardest position to play in basketball)

First, I don’t think Westbrook is a good comparison. KPJ is a more efficient player with a better shot, and Westbrook is obviously better in other ways. Second, are you seriously saying that you’d be disappointed if KPJ became Westbrook?

KPJ, to me, is more akin to Jrue, and I’d be fine with that type of player running the offense. The idea that you need a Chris Paul type is an outdated notion.

lol its so easy to win championships in ones daydreaming and fantasizing....

meanwhile rockets are the worst team in the league 2nd year in a row...

look at denver they have 2 TIMES MVP, and an awesome costar, and role players, one injury and they waste 3 of his best years...

    DREAMS IS NOT THE REALITY

its always easier to win 'somewhere in the future'...

when the reality settles in mr paolo will have trouble finding ways for rockets to win a lot of games, and will call for more tanking just as it is hard for him now to see how could rockets win more games...

    TAKE THAT FOR DATA

There’s one potentially elite defender in there and that’s Wemby, who is more of an injury risk than Chet.
Take Chet this year to pair with Green and Alp.
Take Scoot the next year if they’re that high, or Wemby and have some elite length all around.

Not ashamed of being able to recognize talent and not be hypocritical.
Some people here trash Chet for being skinny and in the same breath prop Wemby up. He’s just as skinny and bigger, which is more similar to Shawn Bradley

Wembayana surrounded by average to below average defensive players will NOT fix this defense.

And Wembayana is FAR from a Rocket's guarantee.

    This solution is silly AF.

Agreed. I am not for Banchero. The Rockets by FAR were the worst defensive team in the NBA and that is why they are likely picking first. They scored just fine but you lose 62 games for a reason. They suck. We knew they would suck. Now you have to put a team together. You have a good and possibly great piece from last year's draft and some good pieces. You have to build properly now. Wood, EGo, Wall all need to be gone. Churn the assets and see what we can get. No stupid stopgaps like trading all our picks for Davis or stupid pipe dream. Build with fresh talent and continue to churn until we can strike in FA with a real core and two slots.

As long as the core includes this stud (see video). A 19 year old who adjusted to the NBA in his rookie season. Imagine seeing these highlights this time last year? Folks would be screaming top 5 pick
