I usually run on 6 to 7 hours of sleep during the week, and usually go through a tired spell sometime in the afternoon every day but just fight through it. Somedays I will have to come home and take a 30 min or an hour nap...though I've also found that working out instead of napping is a great solution, because it makes me feel more awake once I'm home, and I go to sleep much easier.

I'd definitely like to get more sleep at night but I've just gotten used to it, and it's actually harder for me to wake up in the morning if I get 8-plus hours. I generally sleep from about 12:30/1am-7:30am.

My solution would be just fight through it...it's only a few games and it's the playoffs!

I've been watching games at home completely sober for quite a while now... Take a nap before the game, and crash out immediately after. It works well enough for me - saves me some sleep, and some cash.

Worst case for me is that it's training me to get less sleep seeing as though I have a baby due next month. Still makes it tougher. I just need more sleep the older I get. I used to be able to function normally on 3-4 hours. Now I need at least 7 to get through the day. These west coast games are slowly killing me. They're much like the 11:15 pm indoor soccer games I have on occasion. I don't get home until 12:30 or so and am still completely wired. I don't end up getting to sleep until 2 am.

With any luck, tonight will be the last game on the west coast.

I can get by every other day or so on 5.5-6 hours sleep... the problem for me, like most others, is falling asleep when the game ends because I'm so wired. I did TylenolPM Monday night, and it worked great as far as knocking me out. Problem is, I was completely dead the next morning at work due to the continued TylenolPM effects. On the flip side, if I don't do it, I end up with a splitting headache in the afternoon from only sleeping 4-5 hours. Definitely doesn't seem to be an ideal solution.

With that said, I'll still probably go out to TC tonight. :D

I've been off work due to health reasons for about 2 months......I'd take good health in exchange for less sleep any day of the week. When I did work I'd usually only have 5-6 hours of sleep, so these late games wouldn't be a big deal.

You don't, lol. Unless you call the shots working at home or call in sick, there's not much of a solution.

Just tell them you need sleep to recover from the Rockets games. If they don't understand the passion of a Rockets fan then quit.

It's true that i don't have to deal with it, but this is a good problem for us to have. And i sure as hell would be in the same boat as everyone else if i was still living in Houston. but at the end of the day it is a blessing that we have this problem. ;)

You got to pay to play! Suck it up and man up. I wake up at 6:40 in the mornings.. I went to sleep around 2 on monday nights win. Last night I went to sleep extra early knowing I was gonna be up really late again. We dont play back to back night so take advantage of the nights the Rockets have off.. Sacrifices we gonna have to make :D Just take a nap after work-school or take Nyquil or Advil PM at the start of the 4th quarter so you can pass out 10 mins after the game

I suggest having a Cuban breakfast each morning: a cafe con leche and a line of coke.

Suck it up! Would you rather the Rockets not be in the playoffs, so you can get a few extra hours of sleep?

Everyone has to deal with it... I have to be at work every morning by 6 am and I never complain, especially not after punking the Lakers in their own gym.

Drink your coffee, pound some 5hr energy shots, and have a good day at work

Why waste your time? The Lakers are gonna take it anyway.

You've just got to move to the Pacific Time Zone.
