Those numbers don't say a thing about the way that Patrick Ewing plays basketball.

He sits in the post - tell me that's what you want when Francis/ Mobley are trying to get into the lane.

Don't think so great about "Patrick" the person, I have a friend who used to drive limos during an all-star game, and good ol' pat and zo were riding in his. He said those two were the meanest, rudest, bastards he has ever had to cheuffer*, he said they would yell at him "mother f##ker stop here", "f##k go by those ladies", "b!itch way aren't you stopping fast enough", bs like that. They were like two thugs that had no respect for anything. Yeah real gentlemen.

Vin Baker, IMO, is quite like mo taylor. A "soft" PF with a shooting touch that works will with a fluid offense.

There is a sentiment in Seattle, and with good reason, that Ewing helped with a sub-par (even by vin's standards) year for vin.

If we are going to bring mo back, ewing can only be detrimental to our team.

whoa! what is this thread? did i step into an alternate dimension?

you know the state of your center position is screwed up when people in houston are talking about bringing in patrick ewing.

i say, if we can't get hakeem back we should be looking at players who will be around for awhile. because if we re-sign mo taylor, all we need is a talented young center and we will have a nice little roster for years to come. bringing in patrick would not solve anything.

and it would just be weird.

    how about this,
Mobley + Cato + Williams + Collier or Future Draft Pick for
    Alonzo Mourning

and then we re-sign all our FAs:

    Mourning, Dream
    Taylor, Thomas
    Griffin, Morris
    Anderson, Langhi
    Francis, Norris

What make me think Mouring is availible?
    1.) Health concern
    2.) A disappointed playoff performence
3.) Will be 32 yr old in the next season
4.) The Heat needs a scorer and Mobley can
    score.
    5.) Huge contract

I know this is not going to happen, just trying to have fun in the off-season.

Ewing was a very good center, and is still one of the best players in the NBA as a person, but just thinking about him in the pj's makes me wanna puke. I mean come on, he's running on fumes, he has a better chance of getting injured than a r****d with a knife(sorry if im offending anybody) and he looks like a monkey.

Ewing in NY demanded the ball. He still wanted to be the main go to guy even when it wasn't realistic. Last year people used that as a slam against the Dream. At least Hakeem and Rudy talked their situation out and got it taken care of, and Dream then went on to have a very productive second half of the season.

Why would we want to bring in fresh troubles?

Olajuwon still has more in his game than Ewing, and won't be the problem that Ewing would.

Refer to the jockstrap comment on Robinson and change 95 to 94. Ewing is not worth the exception , too old and too slow.
